How to Feed a Sugar Glider Mealworms

Howdy, Coreymykitty! For some reason, I'm not able to reply to your message (still a RU-vid newb in many ways. :) ), but no, you don't have to cut the heads off of the mealworms before you give them to gliders. Our sugar gliders grab right on to them and chow down, usually in the middle of the worm. However, if you poke the mealworm head-first at the sugar glider, that might be a little intimidating, so we generally feed them back-end towards the glider, or by holding the head and letting the glider grab them in the middle.

My sugar gliders are broken, currently they will not eat them. I will keep offering.

Do y’all gut load the mealworms before you feed them to the gliders to make the mealworms more nutritious for them? Like the reptile world does for there reptiles?

because i can't find any live mealworms in my area, I bought the roasted mealworms my gliders won't eat it. is it because its not moving or to crunchy and not soft?

Um I also have pet turtles and their food is Flukers brand mealworms and crickets for turtles can I feed those mealworms to my sugar gliders too?

Hi thank you for all your videos, I bought two 8 year old gliders a few weeks ago and they chew up and spit out alot of their food such as apples and chicken etc.. is that normal ? I've seen videos of other gliders eating the who knows e apple . I bought meal worms yesterday but they didn't want them, they are a lot smaller than the ones in your video but they were the largest ones they had at petco, I'll have n to go to the exotic store and see if they'll eat the bigger ones. Any advice would be much appreciated. TY

what if I am TERRIFIED of ANY kind of insect/worm ??? Are tweezers safe to use? I ask that cause I am afraid it might bite off the tweezers and I know metals shouldn't be put in mouths. I don't have a sugar glider, but I am doing research in case I think about talking with my parents about having one. I can't have a puppy, and these are just too cute small animals.

Can you gut-load the mealworms? Like people do for reptiles to make sure they are healthy. Or is that unsafe for sugar gliders.

My glider chews them up spits them out, rolls them up in a ball and tosses the worm balls aside. Is that normal?
