Hi Greg, What CAD program are you using?

So this does not account for top and bottom plates which one would almost certainly want longer than stud height. 1, What about fire blocking, is that accounted for in the stud estimate? I am not a carpenter but I do have several hammers. Question 2, do you know the current standards for fire blocking in regard to wall height. I have a shop to build with 12 foot exterior walls and think 2 may be required.

I have 275 ft of wall with no windows or doors.

How do you figure the rest of the takeoff. Plywood, and rafters and maybe Sheetrock if you have time.

Doesn't it depend on either you doing 16" OC or 24" OC? I would imagine a different number of studs needed...

So a 44 foot wall would require how many studs?????

How come we don't use 16 inch if the studs going to be 16 inch oc? Or 24 inch for 2x6?

Can't you just multiply the linear wall footage by 12 and divide that by 16?
