I bought an empty bag recently and filled it with everything I could find at home such as old bed linen, pieces of clothing ets. But without cutting them. Now I have to pull it all out in order to shred it:)

I used this video as inspiration. Now 8 months later I'm watching it again to motivate myself to finally fill the other 7/8ths of the bag. Let's just say it took a while to get the fabric and even longer to cut it all up. Probably wear a glove for the scissors to prevent blisters or just tough it out. That's on you. That rolling blade and a good surface to use it on is necessary also.

Use popped popcorn (no butter). The sound of crunching popcorn is most satisfying as you beat the bag. May I also suggest changing out the old broken popcorn for new from time to time. You may eat the old popcorn if desired, adding salt and butter for flavor. Now you have more energy to continue your workout and become fit for cage match.

I bought a 100 lb Everlast heavy bag last July because it was on sale for only $105 at Big Five making it the only heavy bag above 80 pounds I could actually afford at the time. The problem I am having with it now is that the lower half is way stiffer than the top half. I believe it is filled with a mixture of textile like fillings and sand, so the sand falls over time as my bag hangs. So here is my question, do you think I could open it up at the top and remove some of the sand (but not all) and replace it with an equivalent amount of old clothes shreds or do you think I would mess it up since it is a prefilled bag?
@Combatcorner
@Combatcorner 3 года назад
Hey Spencer, Awesome question! If there is a zipper or an opening on the bag you can try to take out some of this material and refill. Sometimes with other brands they tend to fill heavy bags with sand bags and not so much loose sand. If there isn't an opening this may effect how the bag sits after the new material is in.
@eIicit

This is why I am so wary of Everlast bags now. Last one was garbage.

@@Combatcorner I spent a few hours yesterday removing the little peices of old clothes from my 100 lb Everlast heavy bag so I could get to the sand bags towards the bottom. I did eventually get to the sand bags and removed all of them, then weighed them, they collectively weighed almost 40 lbs which is much more than they looked like they did to me. This is my new problem though, I was not able to fit all of the old clothes bits I removed back into it before zipping it back up. Do you have any suggestions for how to pack the clothes bits in tighter so I can fit more in it? I don't want a 70 lb heavy bag!

@@spencerantoniomarlen-starr3069 If you watch the video we use a tamping method, something with a small enough tip to pack those close corners like a broom stick handle or pole etc. Every half foot of cloth tamp it down and keep redoing this process until fully filled.

Ok it took me 5 years to finally fill mine in. Shredding the clothing was a major pain, I have a 6 ft tall banana bag. By major I mean maybe it was better to buy it pre-filled. Put sand in a large sandwich bag and drop it in the middle ever foot or 8 inches until it weighs more and then make sure the clothes surround it packed tight and you should be fine and you can put a bungee cord on it so when you hit it it will snap back at you and you can dodge and hit different angles
