How to film a NIGHT SCENE during the DAY

Achieving a night time cinematic lighting during the day can be easily done with knowledge of White Balance in camera and in your lighting. This video will show you how to light a night scene and sell it as the "moonlight" look.

Great work achieving that nighttime look, and doing so entirely in camera is pretty awesome. Mixing different color temperatures can go such a long way in helping capture a cinematic image, and you perfectly displayed that. As a fellow filmmaker, I thoroughly enjoy your material. I have a Fujifilm xt4 and I can't get my footage to look like this at all

My reply to to the other comment will help you a bit more. Hope I answered all your questions. Getting footage to look a certain way takes lots of trial and error and a lot of learning over the years. What you do with your lighting and in camera is first. Color grading in post is a very expressive art on its own. I tend to desaturate shadows a bit and tweak colors after I have already done the work with my White Balance- a decision I make before even filming as to how I want the film tone to look.
