Brilliant work! Free of the concerns of audio and in 120 fps judicious moments music video style, shooting a wedding video is pure artistic nirvana, bliss!

I'm loving the new series of "trying new things". Nicholas Gore is the man - I shoot weddings full time here in Charleston on the A7SIII and have actually never once used the 4K/120... It's all handheld at 24 & 60 for me with tons of audio mixed in from the day. Which, is a completely different style than this, but (for anyone watching trying to get into weddings) just know that sticking to a specific style and selling that specific style is what builds your brand overall. The A7S can do it all!

would you recommend the A7S I or II or the normal A7S II or III? don't have the budget for the A7S III :(
@RossBarnett02
@RossBarnett02 2 года назад
@@GENUGSCHABERNACK Really depends on what you want to do with it. If you don't have the budget for an A7SIII AND you want to shoot weddings, I'd look into some used Sony a6400's. That way you can have room in the budget for audio, lenses and all the other things. Or, you could look into the new Sony A7iv (still up there, but not as expensive as the A7SIII

@@GENUGSCHABERNACK if you’re wanting to seriously get into filming weddings, I’d look into some used Sony a6300’s. You’ll need multiple cameras. By going with a crop sensor Sony, you can afford multiple cameras and audio gear too.

I believe to remove the flicker you can just duplicate the video layer put it on top and move it 1 frame forward and reduce the opacity

That's such a simple fix, I'm wondering if it'll actually work in practice, will definitely try though. I run into this alot.

I believe you forgot to re-pin this comment to the top when you edited it. Also want to make sure you saw the suggestion of how to fix the flicker: To remove the flicker you can duplicate the video layer, put it on top, move it one frame forward, and reduce the opacity.

As a former wedding videographer (about 15 years ago) I really enjoyed this one quite a bit. I have thought about getting back into it because things have improved so much over the years.

nice video. I had this flicker issue on a real estate shoot. DaVinci Resolve has a deflicker effect build in which saved me doing this shot again. Thank you for sharing your Infos

thank you for showing the flaws in video (flickering) how can you prevent that from happening?

The A7IV has a Variable Shutter function that allows you to set your shutter speed using decimals, which gives you finer controls to prevent flickering. This will likely come as an update to the A7SIII.

I am aware but I don’t think that would have helped in this extreme situation

nice video, I encounter the same issues with the flickers at my last wedding shoot. 120fps is great but not ideal in some shots.. if hand held yes but since i use a gimbal I shoot 60fps most camera don't capture audio at 120fps However if i'm hired to do exactly what u did i will consider it. for the most part I'm a one man band. GOOD INSIGHT

Im not sure, But I remeber that many yars ago was plugin to solve problem with this flicker light, to save footage. I think plugin delate frames between lights.
@FStoppers
@FStoppers 2 года назад
I can easily do that by slowing it to 40% rather than 20% but I wanted to keep the speed consistant. If there is a plugin that can keep all the frames and remove the flicker, that would be great.
@thatcherfreeman

@@FStoppers one thing you could have done is you could have set those clips to 40% speed, then use topaz or whatever to slow it down further

What if you would have doubled the shutter speed to 250. Would that have fixed the flicker or worsened it?
@FStoppers

I believe the same because the lights were pulsing at 1/60th

Why is RU-vid not giving you guys impressions? Nearly a million subs and this video barely has any views. It hardly ever recommends u guys anymore despite being subbed and having watched a lot of your videos prior. Is it something you guys did?

Great, if a client wants only 4 minutes of super slo-mo video with no real time events or audio. This is a pretty small niche, and if it works, good for you! but....BUT!
