In Fresno and popular areas like LA and OC , all the Tundra front calipers for sale are on Craigslist or Ebay. There are a few guys who are always on top of these popular parts to resell. Hard to keep up with those guys. Happy New Year🎆
Wish we had places where you could go get cheap parts like you did. In Guyana, people use parts till you can’t work them anymore.. so by the time you see the pats, it’s noting
Thanks for the tip, I added a new task to my morning routine. And fortunately, a 4runner landed in a nearby pick n pull. Even had a set of OME struts and shocks on it! Great find, but too bad I don't need them.
I've been looking for a set of oem axels to have as spares but haven't found any. What do you think about the beefy "extended travel" cv axels from the local parts store? O'reilly, autozone, and Napa carries them under various brands for roughly 250$ each.
bummer. Keep checking daily or weekly lol. When it arrives, get to it first! There's usually not much at my yard but all this rain must be flipping cars because I was quite surprised with the inventory lol
One thing I forgot to mention in my video is I was very patient with many of these upgrades. It took some time before I was able to gather all those sweet upgrades for dirt cheap. Another great site for used parts is www.car-part.com/ (I found my manual hubs here) Other great sites to find used car parts: www.pullapart.com/ www.ipullupull.com/ row52.com/
I can never find what I need in the yards. even T.A.P. sells parts extremely fast....So Last January 12. 2020 I ordered some bilstein 5160's from summit racing for the rear of my 03 tacoma. In july they shipped me 1 and said they did not have the parts for both shocks. they are thinking they won't be able to even make them until February. but at this point who knows.... they just kept lieing to me and telling me itd be about 2 weeks then "we didnt get the parts probably in a few weeks." they did that all year.
