Really nice man! I am also on the hunt right now and found lots of beds but no sheds yet as of this year. I however found one last year(Nov 24th) it must of been in a fight as 50% of the antler base had some part from his skull or what you call it still on the antler. Sorry I am from Sweden, I don't know what the word for the part that connects the antler to the skull calls. But anyways. I'll be back for the match when the snow is gone completely. I also found a nice 4 point in September last year, and that was the trigger for my shed hunting journey and I absolutely love it! When you start looking for them you will find them eventually. Before this I've found like 3-4 all my life from various kinds of deer and moose, one of them being really nice and fresh, and keep in mind I live on the country side and spends tons of time in the woods. I also feel you when it comes to shed size. We also have very few that yield big sheds down here in S. Sweden. But any shed is nice to find, old or new! Good luck and keep hunting!
Yesterday I found my first shed while turkey hunting. I knew there were a lot of big muley sheds in the area but I was turkey hunting so I just walked to my spot when there was a three point hard white chillin on the ground. There are also moose and elk in the area. Last year I saw someone who found an average moose shed. Second before I was about to shoot a nice tom my dad walked to without knowing the birds were there because he came back with a really really old 5 point elk shed
hey man just coming across your video after finding some moose beds of my own in CO! I was wondering what tips you have for summer paddle hunting/ wetlands area??
I watched this video last year and the following shed season I found sixteen moose antlers :D two matching pairs even! Now I'm looking for "the other area" of the woods, because all the ones I found were in the same area. Thank you so much for this video! :D
Great video! Let those " HIGH POWER" feelings... last for you.. Work for you... the competitive crap of "someone else" finding "your" sheds has made shed hunting a "more disease" soon peoples happiness is no longer on self start. Your right about when you search for what you think about you find! Be careful of the rest of the thoughts too! Good or bad. I know this is unsolicited advice but when I did this I double my finds and the great feelings we ALL search for. I hope you double yours !! you work hard and deserve em!
It's the spring of the year here in Vermont I just took a long walk in the woods and found a spot where it was all rubbed up. maybe 25 to30 trees. Is this the work of a moose trying to shed or is this the work of a moose in velvet?
nope, no higher power....its all you and knowledge of the game, time in field, dedication, passion......all credit to you!!! Congrats and keep pushing brother
Martin can I hunt moose sheds being from out of state in Utah I would love to find moose sheds with my sons have be thinking about taking a trip up that way any advise for a new moose shed hunter
guess my little guys dropped those are my tracks you keep running into, matted down plenty we just dont do little videos 3 matched sets including the big 10 and a small single ill match him up when a little snow melts.
And this is why Utah decided to put in a fucking antler ban. If your going to do something unethical why in the world would you upload it to youtube? And for God sakes can people not pick up a shed these days without having to go instagram live and encourage others to go pressure the winter range?
Kevin McWhorter this is shed hunting. I don't understand what the prior commenting is getting at. I posted this video and others before the shed hunting closure
Martin Chagnovich ok. I wasn't getting at anything. I just knew it was closed. I didn't know when it closed. I thought possibly moose she'd hunting was different. Like I said, I'm new to all this. Thanks
