Pearl, I love your Instagram!!! I was researching ragdoll kitties after I lost my calico at 20 years old on Friday. I love her so much. I miss having a baby to pet and love
So I've been wanting a blue point ragdoll for quite some time now but the thing is I'm disabled and as far as I can see ragdolls can cost upwards of $1000. So I was wondering what you would recommend for people with disables that want to eventually get one of these lovelies?
I just came across your channel and as a catmom to two beautiful rescues, thinking about living beings in term of "pet quality", "show quality", and "preferred color" feels very weird to me.
Hi Pearl! Love your videos + thanks for sharing this info! I had a quick question...I'm hoping to find a female bicolor cream or flame ragdoll kitten & have tried every breeder listed in the U.S. on the TICA website. No one has that color combination and all are saying it's very rare as you need both parents to be cream/flame. Do you have any suggestions as to where I could locate one? I'm willing to travel anywhere in the U.S. or Canada, thanks!
Did you get your cat, Summer, from Rainbow Ragdolls in Edmonton, Canada? Our 13 year old Rag Doll passed away recently, and I'm trying to find a good breeder in Western Canada. Thanks.
I've recently learned that Ragdolls should be screened for cardiomyopathy as part of the breeding program. Is there a way to ensure this has been done correctly?
dont buy from a breeder unless you are looking for something for a specific purpose (hypoallergenic). please adopt! there are so many cats and kittens in the shelters every year, especially during springtime.
Thanks for putting this out there! I was disappointed when I reached out to so many breeders and I didn't hear back from most. The good thing, however, is that I was able to get my perfect kitty with a bit of patience and determination. Some of the best breeders also have the worst websites, I've found :)
Unfortunately, I already got scammed. I thought I found a good breeder and bought an adorable kitten but it turned out that she is a ragdoll scottish fold mix. I knew the breeder breed both scottish folds and ragdolls and I was clear that I had concerns about the health of scottish folds and had always wanted to adopt a ragdoll. She sold me a ragdoll, even listed it on the paperwork but she ended up omitting that she's a mix. I should've done more research.
I've sent emails to 3 breeders a week ago and they still have not replied back. Should I wait more? or should I just send another email? How fast would you reply back to a person who sends you an email?
thank you for the information but i do wounder, why is it that these youtubers never just tell us where they got their cats from and save us the stress of looking for a good breeder? i mean that would be easier and safer.
Not a fan of breeders these days when there's poor cats and dogs dying fir a home in shelters wish I could save them all. Good video not getting a cat but was interesting watching
@@nia1388 There are a bunch of strays on the street. Cats choose their people. If not a shelter, look on Nextdoor or the websites or rescues & you'll see TONS needing help. Contributing to the overpopulation of animals we cannot handle is NOT helping the problems we have.
Backyard/hobby breeders like this creator and breeders in general are ridiculously unethical. They contribute to and cause an absurd amount of cats that end up either dead, injured, in a pound, on the streets leading to more non-desexed cats being born, killing native birds, or all of the above.
Or better yet ADOPT cats from a shelter. Shelters are FULL. Why not make breeding illegal? Everyone supporting this is PART OF THE PROBLEM. You could not tell me you love animals when your purpose is to use them for your own benefits/ profits.
Damn social media.... As a business owner it's annoying ppl only look at you now as verified if you have all these darn pages. I really hate social media and who has time to make videos all day. Expensive and time consuming for those of us who don't give a fig about being followed.
