Texel Density in VFX is a subject that still causes a lot of confusion. How can we make sure to have enough UV resolution on our assets? How many UDIMs do I need to keep my textures sharp and consistent?
In today's video, I'm going to share with you a technique that I use in my projects to establish their correct texel density. I hope this method can help you with your projects, so you can have textures with good resolution without having a model with an unnecessary amount of UDIMs.
