How to find your niche in candle making. Trying to grow on social media as a new business and maker can be really tough, it can be hard to find your feet, but what’s helped me so much is finding my niche. I am way more focused on what content I create for my products and my brand image. It is also way less confusing for people who are unfamiliar with my brand to understand what we are about.
This really was a game changer for me and the interest generated around my brand.

THANK YOU soo much for this. I didn’t realise I have been floating into the red ocean copying and going with what’s popular. Subconsciously coasting. I’ve always had a niche in the back of my head (not realising that It was a niche until now) but have always gone with what seems to be *popular* BUT...... Today, I’m in the process of rebranding and going with my niche! & for the first time in months I’ve finally got that spark back into loving making my wax melts and candles and jotting down my ideas and ordering totally new fragrances. I didn't know what a niche is until now. But I still feel like my brand is yet all over the place. So as inspired candle maker as I am this video is helping me to find my niche and not to copy otherd. I also will be downloading your workbook and purchasing the book as well. I just found you and so glad I did 🙌🏾 I started my business last year. I name my candle names/scents base off a past good memory. For example 1990 which is my best seller is my birth year. My brand is for those who like to practice self-care and relaxation. My ideal customer shops at target, home goods Publix lol. I’m running out of content ideas 😩😩 do you have any recommendations?

Ahh awesome! Sounds great. Best advice I can give is keep thinking about your customer and what you want them to hear from you. Look at trends and think about how you can relate your product to the trend, finally look at your analytics what has performed well, then make new updated versions of it.

Hi hun thanks for this, I have a few questions please can you help? Did you start off one Etsy? Or just straight to your website? How long did it take for orders to start coming in? How soon did you do Instagram ads to help promoting your business? Thanks so much hun

Hello, sure! So when I had no branding, I did go on Etsy, but found that because I was generic, it did not bring in sales. Once I branded, I created my own website and my focus has been on growing my brand on it's own rather than using Etsy as I had taken a lot of time to learn about marketing and branding. This helped so much, branding and social media, I did about 30 sales in the first few days. Once I had organic sales, that's when I really started to use facebook ads (which is used for both facebook and instagram). The ads have done really well for me, it is trial and error to ensure your targeting is correct but worthwhile. I would say though, the reason it did well is to have outstanding images that will catch attention. Hope this helps!
