i have a question? do you think older woman should stay away from red lipstick, every time i wear red lipstick i find i look like... Bozo le clown 😂, merci beaucoup les filles
I wonder if some experimentation with tones of red? Although, I tend to shy away from it too. It makes me look like a cranky librarian! Sometimes some different tones work, but then it's not red. Perhaps the idea is just for a fun look or maybe one just has to be in the mood to wear red?
@@hiannahgus574 I think you're right because red lipstick is a rather strong statement in itself. Perhaps it can be accompanied with what one wears? And yes, "less is more," so the eye makeup could be overkill and it would work against me, I think. Thank-you for this idea.
I wonder if its the lighting and how things look different IRL versus on camera because I seriously think the first lipstick looks the best on her and matches her skintone the best the other 3 gave her skin an orangish glow. She also said the first lipstick made her look older than she is and I thought that one made her look the most youthful.

I love these makeup videos🤩!! Margot you are really talented!! The model is beautiful, any color is perfect for her!! My favorite definitely Chanel!!❤💋
I have a couple of lipsticks that are bright orangey red, from Armani Lip Power Satin 301 Friendly and Dries Van Noten Midsummer Coral, I love them both and I wear them more frequently than I thought I would. I have light olive skin tone. Another orangey red that I am contemplating to purchase is La Bouche Rouge Chloé, very expensive however 😅 but love it for how chic and youthful this type of red is, makes me happy ❤
Try Guerlain Rouge G in Flame Red (214). The velvet finish is lovely and wears better than any lipstick I have ever worn. It’s a bright, clear orangey red. I also have light olive skin and it brightens my complexion immensely.
I think finding the right red shade is a little bit tricky. I also have warm unsertone but my hair and eyes are much cooler. I find every lipstick with a hint of orange looks bad on me while those with blue tones are much better. I am confused 🤷♀️
I go through this, too. I am very pale with pink/cool undertones but with hazel eyes with a lot of gold in them. I have found that lipstick and blush in the coral family, ie, with both pink and orange tones, work well with this combination.
I suggest looking at a channel here called Miriam Style. She explains it very well. Yellow tone doesn't automatically mean a warm tone. I believe that is what we are seeing here. The model is cool and delicate. She looks best in muted cool tones without the presence of yellows like the orange we see here.
I'm in my 40s, pale with cool undertone, blonde and blue eyes, and I'm still looking for a perfect red lipstick for everyday (so, like a lighter shade of wearable red). If anyone has suggestions, please let me know ♥️
Funny, how the glow of her skin changes with different tone. I found the last one and chanel interesting and nice, also she smiled with the chanel one much more and enjoyed herself, for what ever reason, she liked it more. So that might help as well. Maybe you could also make clips similar to the fashion ones, where you made references to nouvelle vague and so on, to reflect the make up of different time periods. I don't know if there's much material hidden, but i found those clips most interesting! : )
Hello from Canada. I definitely liked this video but I will appreciate it more if you show us what red goes for different undertones. For example I am a pale woman with ivory skin and greenish eyes and I cannot find this perfect red lipstick in my entire life. Well I am still searching…….
I think Chanel looks the best on Ariane ❤🥰. She looks classic yet sexy and glamorous on that color. The others are kinda red orangey. And..Ariane's jacket is it from Excess Only, PV?
I'm older and have trouble hearing you weith the music so loud. I'd love to hear wehat you're saying but the tone is tinny and with tttt he music...I don't have red a chance!
4th is too bright for a delicate girl like her. 3rd is too orangey. 2nd is the true red and suits her well. 1st has more of a coral hue and suits her best IMO.
You need to have really white teeth in order to wear most of these shades... I, personally, prefer darker shades of red. However, the model is gorgeous so I think she can put whetever she wants!!
Hmmmmm. What do I know? I thought she looked best in #1 and #2. The color seemed more a part of her face whereas #3 and #4 seemed to sit on top and were less cohesive with her skintone. It was interesting to see the difference.
The videos that you make about choosing the right lip color are wonderful. Would you please consider doing this video but using a model with a cool undertone?
I really enjoy the topics you've been filming. The experts and guests are all very good and have charm and warmth. I will say, in my opinion please note, that the background music is either unnecessary or perhaps should be softer. For me it detracts from the conversation. Thank you!
Good video, but I think that this was just done recently, wasn't it? 🤔 I'd like to offer a suggestion: Red lip colour options / shades for women of darker / different complexions other than pale? 🙂
I love the Chanel lipstick ❤️ on her more than Sisley and Hermes But as many says choosing what’s right red for you is a lot more very tricky thing. I think that you should be confident wearing what tou think is the right red for you…wearing a red lipstick is all about confidence and feeling good about the way your face looks❤️❤️❤️ it will not show not only on your face but on your whole personality ⭐️🙌🐇🐇
to me it seemed like she is cool toned but possibly has a warm overtone. she is also muted so I think a cool, slightly muted red would look best on her
Useful episode! But I have a question: I am Taiwanese, I have warm undertone, Asian beige skin colour, maybe I suit less red lipstick like sheer pink?Or classical red lipstick?
When it comes to finding the perfect red lipstick shade for warm undertones and Asian beige skin, it's important to keep in mind that there are many different shades of red, and what works for one person may not work for another. However, in general, warmer, more orange-toned reds tend to be more flattering for warm undertones, while cooler, blue-toned reds can sometimes make the skin look sallow or yellow. Try Brick Red (rusty red colour which is not too bright with brown undertones) or Cranberry Red (If you want a cooler-toned red. This type of red has a slightly pink or purple undertone to it, which can work well with warm undertones). Classic red is a good idea for your complexion as well. Ultimately, the best way to find your perfect red lipstick shade is to try a few different options and see what works best for you. Don't be afraid to experiment with different shades and take into account your own personal preferences and style.
I love my red lipstick. I have Chanel Rouge Allure 99 - Pirate! and it's amazing. It stays on all day. I top it up after lunch and I'm good to go for the rest of the day. I think it's a case of trial and error and personal preference, because nobody has ever been able to agree on my skin tone. I get told different things wherever I go, so now I work it out for myself. Basically, if you like it and feel good in it, then that's the one you should buy!
