My Favourite Red Lipsticks (2023) 

So comforting and fun to have you back on RU-vid. I started watching you from your very first video! Learned so much from you, but also just watched for your calm and knowledgeable demeanor. You and your sister helped me through some tough times.

Yes! Thank you and thank you also for OG format, as there is soo many " fancy studio backdrop etc" that this actually feel FRESH again

The reason I love watching you talk about makeup is because you know why you're doing stuff, and the logic behind colours and choices. It's just a nice change from seeing people do certain techniques and making certain choices because they're just "the done thing". It's really refreshing.

Love this. There's something about a red lip that just makes me feel fab. Splash of perfume and a red lip and it leaves me feeling all fancy. No matter what else is going on.

i'd like a video about pink lipsticks that are so difficult to wear; the cold ones, the warm ones, the neutral ones and the baby pink ones. It woul be very useful for me. Thank you and happy you came back!

I suspect that the color balance may be off on this video: all the lipsticks have a pinky-orange hue. I own the MAC lipsticks, and in person, they look nothing like they appear in this video. Initially, I thought the problem may be with my computer, but it looks like someone else in the comments has experienced the same issue.

Those reds were ALL gorgeous, I've recently bought the Lisa Eldridge Jazz that you mentioned and I love it..... Please can you do a waterline eyeliner favourites, so many liners don't stay put if you have watery eyes so it would be really helpful for colour range, staying power and also for neutral colours for tired eyes. Thank you!! (Hope your burn is healing well, it looked really sore)

It's so nice to see you back on RU-vid! Hope you're doing well. This made me want to check out the Lisa Eldridge Palazzo, it's beautiful on you. I love red lipsticks, but I don't have any easy, unfussy reds that I can just throw on without thinking much about it. I probably need a warm red, though, blue-based and even some neutral reds often pull very blue on me. I love Shue Uemura's reds, they have a few different yellow-based ones that are still clearly red, not orange red. I have RD 163 and RD 144 in their matte formula and I love them both. MAC Lady Danger is the only lipstick I've ever completely used up at least two tubes of, though.

Just love love love this idea! And the products you recommend are absolutely amazing, as always. Funnily enough, I’m a light olive but the reds that look best on me are a bit more on the blue side (Ruby Woo, Velvet Ribbon), or deep more sultry vampy reds with a touch of purple. I can still wear a more orangey colour, but, depending on the undertone, it makes me look… for the lack of a better word, “dated”…? As in someone who hasn’t changed their makeup colour choices in a few decades and it’s noticeably not timeless 😅 You made me want to check out Zara lipsticks, but then I remembered here in Portugal they don’t have the make up in store. One has to role the dice and order online.

Been watching from very long time so refreshing to see again. Love your background 😍 but what like the most is that you are still stunningly beautiful without all the fillers and surgery like everyone's faces nowadays. 🤩 🌹

Love that. My favourites are Lisa Eldridge velvet ribbon, Path mcgrath Elson, and for summer time, when I'm more tanned - Lisa's Velvet Morning. It's important for me to have formula with no smell or taste and not drying

I sadly don't really like to wear reds anymore, but I wore it all the time in my early twenties when all I wanted was to look like Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy...😅 But I still do kind of think of red lipstick as the absolute epitome of makeup, though! How about a video on some favorite lip pencils/liners? (I only use lip pencils + balm as "lipstick" these days, so I'm always interested in recommendations.) 😄

My problem with reds is that I have a fair amount of red around my nose (and have allergies so I’m always blowing the damn thing) so medical advancements aside lol so I’d love any tips for combatting red in the skin in a fresh less makeupy way

Viva Glam I looks seriously blue tinted on me but near neutral on you. Love it either way, thanks for the tips, I'm looking for an orange toned one and this was so helpful

Sam I can't tell you how great it is to see you again. my favorite red is Chanel no 99 Pirate. But it is very much a blue red, kind of a classic 1940s Old Hollywood color. I also really love the Rouge Coco flash (or whatever they're calling it now) color 'amour' but truth be told it splits the difference between a red and hot pink. It's a nice sheer approachable option for anyone who wants a blue-red lipstick that's not too intimidating, but it is also v expensive.

Red lipstick looks lovely on you. There's something really evocative about a red lipstick. I've never worn a red lipstick. I did try going to a make up counter ages ago and the girl tried a couple on me and said red was not for me. So I never tried again.. Lovely video 💕

Love the reds! My favorites are from Armani, Mac, Chanel and Hermès. I wanted to love the velvets from Lisa Eldridge and I have all her reds but I don’t love the formula unfortunately.

Great video!..yes please, a video on favorite foundations for dry skin and favorite tinted moisturizers for dry skin (if you use them often enough). My lips are on the thin side. I'm considering lip injections.I love red lipsticks but I feel you're got to have a nice lip shape...don't want to draw attention to thin lips! Looking forward if slightly wary of getting lip injections
