I am a mom so most of not all my money goes to my son and bills so my style and self esteem are non existent I rotate the same 4 boxy shirts and yoga pants every day and it's mentally exhausting so 2017 I am working on my style and putting myself first to boost my confidence and your style is very very similar to mine and they just really help me and make it seem easy!

At our school we can wear makeup, jewelry, and whatever skirt we want as long as it’s khaki, gray, black, or maroon plaid so people often wear kinda tighter pencil-ish khaki skirts with the shirts which looks cute!! Also people wear chokers and fun jewelry to spice things up a bit. Also, we get to wear whatever socks we want so everyone wears fun socks which u can get at Forever21 or H&M. Hope this helps =)
At my school you’re not allowed to wear any jacket except the school jersey jacket. I hate it bcuz it’s not that comfortable and everyone has the same jacket as you do it’s easy to lose yours. You can’t wear any jewelry, only allowed to wear black or brown headbands. You also have to wear the ‘ ‘school’s uniform’ it can’t be bought from anywhere else. Their uniforms never fit your body properly, most have to pay for a tailor or seamstress to make adjustments to it. The only kind of ‘option’ we have is that girls can wear either a pants or skirt.

What if you have two styles though? For example, i LOVE lauren jauregui's grunge kinda look and i draw a lot of inspo from her but then i also really love carli bybel's look as well, the sorta instagram baddie look. I struggle with this cuz i always feel forced to decide on one or the other and that people will judge me if i dress one way on a certain day and differently the next, you feel me?
I second the mixing suggestion. I was always absolutely torn between looking like the pure, angelic, vintage indie princess I always wanted to be and the "crazy" lady gaga inspired, avant garde 8 inch heels and sparkles kind of look. (and I had a wardrobe to make any 13 year old emo kid happy). But who's to say you can't be a vintage princess who wears bizarre clothing items? Or in your case, an instagram baddie who has an affinity for grunge.
