I've built several mood boards on Pinterest over the past year. I kind of enjoy saving pix of cute outfits as a relaxing hobby in my downtime. I've got several categories: French chic, Coastal Grandma, Denim, Sweaters, Boho, Vintage, Trench coats, Khaki pants outfits, and a few others. Of course there is some overlap, but I try to put each outfit iI love into the category that it most focuses on.
Your comment is helpful for me. I, too, have more than one mood and I embrace more than one style. Why not a board for each? A friend said my style was "chameleon" and that really resonated.
I’m also on Pinterest and love it! It’s great for being inspired to create new outfits! I’m the kind of person that gets bored easily and needs constant creative ways to create outfits with what I already own! I know what I like, but need ideas sometimes to make me look outside the box! I think I agree with you that the denim corset top would look better with jeans and the black jacket, which with the orange bag would bring the number of colours down to three.

Try new combos all the time! Usually I’m comfortable in my choices but get an extra boost when I get a compliment!🥰 My mood board is hanging my clothes all over my five white wardrobes/closets at the top or handles and try out different combos! I’m fortunate because, having a preference for classic style there are always some trends that I really love, every season. The collared knit tops we call “polo shirts” here in the US are a good example, I was happy to see this classic-based style on trend again. And the pleated skirt is another, though it seems that trend is cooling down a bit, I’ll still happily wear mine. This season I love Safari style, I got the most beautiful white linen dress inspired by this style this spring (from Equipment, I think, my memory ain’t what is used to be). Last year’s very romantic floral, tiered and ruffled dresses weren’t for me, but a tailored, solid-color dress always is. Most trends have been around before and classics tend to recur in the fashion cycles.
I have drastically changed my style over the years from trendy athleisure to goth girl to very old money classic style to 50s style and now im a mish mash of everything kept the bits i really like from them all to find my own style ❤

I love tan or beige pants with denim or chambray tops. I have three beige pants and two denim tops an one standard chambray shirt. Essentially all the same outfit but the style of each top and bottom helps give me different looks. Winner in my closet!
My work clothes are classic Ralph Lauren style. My personal cowgirl style is tipping into Harley Davidson motto jackets, boots, graphic Tees😂my whole attitude with Harley is “Boss”
That outfit you're not sure of (with the joggers, blazer, and blue tank)? You and your body look Amazing and funky! I love it! Maybe swap out the orange bag for a bag in one of the other colors in your outfit (I'm thinking white) to make it more cohesive? All great ideas in this video! I think beyond knowing your style, it's also super helpful to know your body type, and to use a camera to take photos of yourself in clothes BEFORE you purchase them/cut the tags off!
Been doing the pinterest boards each season and find them helpful. One other step I'd recommend is eliminating from your board all the styles that do not fit your body shape - once you have taken note of what you like about it and seeing if you can find a more body appropriate version. Photos are generally all of thin people or extremely curvy of which I am neither and I have not once (like never, ever) seen a photo of someone my age and similar shape that looks even remotely stylish to me. It's a first world problem I know, but with all the influencers on youtube and tiktok you'd think there would be more variety of body shapes to inspire those of us who are not thin and/or young.

I liked your denim corset top with the light beige pants just fine. I find that medium to light denim jeans and beige jeans or trousers are almost interchangeable, since they are both neutral in the same tone. The little orange bag was a cute nod to a trend.
There are many outfits that I like but they don’t really work on my body type. I just keep shopping my closet and try different combos. I find a rail u start to see what you have and see combos that you may not of noticed. Love your videos 🦋
I have never done a board before but enjoyed the video & seeing how you created your own version with what you already own. The only outfit I wasn’t too keen on was the denim corset but everyone should embrace what makes you feel good lol ❤

I loved the tips to create a mood board that includes some of your current pieces. It was also helpful to hear that I can look for people who come up multiple times in the photos and search them for more ideas. Thanks for the great process. My favorite outfit was with the pink sweater. I will try something similar with a camel outfit and blue-teal sweater. It’s very practical for when it’s cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon.
I love hats, but I feel a little awkward wearing them, because I am mostly the only one with a hat. What has helped me is that on my profile picture in whats app, I am wearing a hat too, so I get used to see myself with a hat.

I'm agoraphobic and hardly ever leave the house. I go to the doctor.. or do quick shopping trips. I have a holiday once a year and dress for that. Pick clothes for that. I'm going away for Christmas this year, so I'm buying out of season. I don't do Pinterest but before the internet, I did magazines, cut out photos I liked, and then went to shops with pix. I buy everything on ebay.

They’re great, I love my rolling one from the Container Store because it folds almost flat when not needed. I think it was about $90 US, but it’s very sturdy. Now I’m looking for a super-tall one to hold my maxi dresses❤

If I were you, I'd also switch out the cargo pants in the outfit with the Runaway orange crossbody bag. By the way, when I saw that crossbody bag in your other vlog, I ordered it and it arrived from New Zealand a couple days ago. Love it. Really great quality. I don't know anything about Pinterest. So ok I guess you have to join first but can you only use pictures already on that site? Oh it has a research capability, cool. Where did you get those pleated khaki from they are really cute? I like to know that other appreciate what I have own it a bonus but because I am shy I like them to address me and not talk around me because I shrink because I am not sure and do not want to feel vain. @@Thestyleinsider. Thanks for asking :) IMHO, not necessary, and sadly distracting. I come to listen to yóu, but then there is this constant background noise competing for my attention. I am an auditory learner - with about 1/3 of the population - so more sensitive to this. Unfortunately, increasingly content creators are putting filler music behind/underneath their voice. (It wouldn't be so bad if it was just during the intro and outro - or in between the speaking parts). I guess RU-vid Academy is pushing their muzak catalog, supposedly to enhance production value, but really, it only enhances their bottom line. This kind of 'noise pollution' doesn't just affect auditory learners, though - but people with adhd, fatigue, depression, anxiety as well as those with hearing issues. I do adore your content.
