Paul, this was invaluable. Helpful hint: if you did not specifically register for a RFC, it was likely assigned when you received a CURP. Try the year you registered for a CURP in the “Año de Inscription” box. It worked for me. Thanks for great content.

I followed your instructions and saw I already have a number. I couldn’t retrieve the number online so I went to the SAT office and they printed the cédula. Pretty easy. No appointment, just got in line early.

I followed your instructions to the letter and found our RFC. Here is the mystery. To the best of our knowledge we have never been to the SAT office. We became permanent residents in 2014. Perhaps back then Immigration registered us with SAT.

Yes, I have an RFC, but couldn’t find the number as the form did not have a space for 2021 and the captcha kept rejecting me ( probably because of that error ( all I could put in was 2020) so I will go ahead and check out the other video. Cheers and thank you sooo much

I am someone that has no clue how I obtained my RFC, but I had one issued, verified it online using my CURP and picked up my CIF at SAT a month or so ago. I now have permanent residency, but did everything myself. I have bought 3 cars and a home in the last 4.5 years, so I’m guessing that someone registered me for my RFC online using my CURP years ago.

The electric company would not accept a verla RFC. I found my RFC with my CURP#. SO NOW ...apparently I need the Constacia doc. Will try it and hope I get lucky. Never did get an email for an appointment that you showed up how to do on a previous video.

Hi Paul. Thank you for all of the excellent content you provide on this channel. I watch your videos all the time and I'm a huge fan. Paul, I have gone through the procedure you outlined to join the virtual line for an appointment at the local SAT office. I got the code they sent me to submit to get a place in line and all that. I did that almost a month ago, and still have not received any email from them with an appointment date/time. Should I have received one by now? And yes, I've verified that I do not already have one. And what happens if we DON'T receive an RFC by July 1st, even though we've tried to get an appointment to apply? Do they deport us, or do they not care unless we try to buy a car or something? How bad/serious is it? Thanks again for all your help! You have one of the best channels on RU-vid, in my opinion.

After a few months waiting in the fila virtual, we finally went to SAT office in Merida, waited 4 hours and were told that we HAD to have a work permit to get an RFC. We are Residente Permanente for the past 4 years and property owners. We have heard that others have been rejected for not having a work permit. Has anyone here had this experience?. Hi Paul, I followed the steps in your video to see if I have a RFC, by clicking on "Verifica si estás registrado en el RFC", then selected the yellow link button but it keeps timing out. Is the site down, or other steps to see if I have an RFC. Thank you. Your videos are invaluable.

I got as far as clicking the yellow button "ejecutar en linea", but it won't advance to the next page, just refreshes this page. Maybe its a website problem right now, I'll try again another time. Your instructions are very clear so thanks for that. If you have any idea why I'm stuck on that page, please let me know.

This is great information. However, once I clicked on "Ejecutar en Linea" the page does not open. I've tried on my laptop and on my phone. It just doesn't open. I'm stuck! Thank you for the thorough information.

Thanks, this was very helpful. Unfortunately, as of 2024, the security certificate on the SAT website has expired or the page is misconfigured so the tool for finding your RFP won't load. btw, I got my CURP from the IMSS website using my NSS, with no problem. Wish I could do that on SAT

Unfortunately, the database only goes from 2020 and earlier. If you received your CURP after 2021, you can’t check online.

I have been searching online and trying to call the government office to get an RFC as an importer. I am not in MX. I can't seem to get the right way to get it.

after i click the yellow button it keeps bringing me to the same page and does not et me select " persona fisica " you think the website has a bug I used chrome and edge and still doing the same thing..

Many thanks for this video. I had an idea that I already had an RFC but I wasn't sure. I found the document and also checked online. I found this video at a good time because...see below. The CFE will be asking for this RFC info soon, just to continue paying your electric bill! I recently received an email with a June deadline for proving you are in México legally...to pay your bill. I am curious if they will refuse your money, if you don't.

Of those who found they already have an RFC did anyone start as a temporary resident and then change to permanent? If so what date did you use, the original date you started as a temporary or the date you started permanent? Thank you

As of November 2023, The "Executar en Línea" button does not appear to work. It goes to a blank screen and then times out. I have tried several times over the last week without success.

I went to the site. "There is no validacion de RFC" on the "Ver Mas" option.

So if I’m trying to find if i have an RFC the date a signed is the date i received my card? It doesn’t even show a 2023 option. That confused me a bit using this. Do i need it for a bank account? The Santander in this town told my Mexican friend i had to have a voter card to get a bank account. 🤯. I’m headed down there now myself.

Uggh, HELP! I've followed instructions (with two different browsers0 and it will not let me past the page where i click Ejecutar en Linea. When I click that it takes me back to the same exact page. 9/7/2022 - I used your video and it says I have an RFC but the page is still down to look up my RFC number. Any suggestions on how I can obtain my RFC? I tried making an appt using your other video and I get a message "La CURP que ingresaste ya se encuentra asociada a un RFC, si tienes dudas acercate a alguna ADSC" I'm not currently in Mexico but have dual citizenship. (USA)

Pooh. I don't have one. Someone made an appt to get me one but there's over 4000 ahead of me. I tried to make an appt to do it on my own but I was blocked so I think I'm already in the system thru this other person. He's doing it out of Guadalajara. That's probably why so many. I thought it might be faster from a smaller place.

Thanks for your informative videos. Although the deed for the property I purchased in 2008 shows an RFC for me, the online "Consulta Contribuyente" indicates I'm not registered with one. Interestingly, the RFC on my deed is only 10 characters. The RFC for others listed on my deed (seller, notario, etc) have 12, 13 and 18 characters. Looks like I will need to go to SAT this week to sort this out.

The tramites does not bring us to 'ver mas' or validacion de RFC so not much use.

Hola Paul..I have my CURP and RFC and I am permanente. These were all obtained in late 2021 and early 2022. When using your method to validate RFC through CURP it only allows Inception as recent as 2020 in the drop down menu and does not allow manual method to put in a more recent date. I am in a panic and turned to your youtube. AS I bought a car yesterday and I am trying to register online to make an appointment to change the license plates to my name. An error code comes up blocking me from registering. Error code reads the RFC and CURP do not coincide. I thought maybe a system glitch..but I've tried it from 10am to 6:30pm today..So it won't register me into the system..I thought I would check if there is an error on my Constancia of the numbers. My CURP of course is on my Permanente card. and also on my Constancia. and the number of digits for each of these is accurate. And I have had it all double checked by native language bi-lingual people. Thoughts? Very upsetting of course

when I go to Año de Inscripción, I tried to enter 2022 since I got my rfc yesterday, but it only goes up to 2020. Is this a glitch in the system?

I have an RFC, but I don't have the information such as "date I received the RFC" etc. How do I make an appointment to go to the SAT to obtain the RFC. Please note: when I try to make an appointment using the citas.sat.gob I end up with a message indicating that I already have an RFC. So I'm a little lost.
