Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ru-vid.comUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
Ben Clark and then he posts a vid about it so that all of us "Joe 6 packs" can go do it that weekend. His vids are probably some of the most informative on RU-vid.
Amazing how similar this fishing is to what we do in Aus for our sports fish. Small sharp hops to look like a crab, baitfish or prawn and a good pause on the bottom. Such a versatile bait, from hopping, burning over shallow water and slow rolling through schools.
Not an add or anything , but I got that same blade bait in this months (Jan-19) Mystery Tackle Box. Just sayin. I have not tried it yet, but I'm totally stoked to hear your success with it and your advice is priceless. I Subscribed, hit the bell and liked.
When I first watched this I thought you were in Bass Pro Shop. After watching your video with 1rod1reel I realized you really are a hoarder haha. Good info and cool video.
way more than 2k. they run around say 8 bucks or more per lure. and there are more than 250 there just in screen. 250 x $8= 2,000 so wayyyyy more than 2k. serious cash when you start adding them up
Make my own blade baits, use Do-It mold. Catch catfish, carp, stripers, peach , lg. mouth and sm. mouth. Just don't over work this bait, keep it between the bottom and 10" up. Wrist action only.
Collin Hennessy lol answered my own question by looking at your reply to someone else...ive always wanted to catch a lake trout....I live in NJ and I've caught a couple rainbow trout but never a lake trout...
Troy Stuart If you caught the rainbows in a lake, they're basically the same as a lake trout. If they came from a stream, they're probably smaller than a lake trout. Trout all taste pretty much the same.
Not even going to lie. This is pretty good marketing. Halfway through the video Ike tells us what kind of reel he used and I immedeatly hit pause and hit up amazon. 30 minutes later and two items in my cart........ That is an expensive fucking reel though! 550+ Im liking the Low profile MGX.
I noticed the same thing in the very first video of his, I didn't have to pause or google the products he is using because I've spent a small fortune in Bass equipment that I don't really need. But enjoy having 😂. I wish I was sponsored by one of those brands but I'm a Shimano guy.
I am really sorry mike but i have a hard time paying attention to you. With all that eye candy on the wall in the back ground lmao. All seriousness aside great info and great content mike. P.s sent me your old lures for repaint.lol
Most definitely.. Caught some nice 4lb bass @ Clear Lake burning and ripping blades threw underwater weed beds in 4-5 ft water.. Thinner profile, so it tends to maneuver better threw the weeds. IMO
+Oakland-A's-Diehard I use one called the " Binsky ". Made by Fish Sense . Plating tends to chip or flake off after awhile, but an affective bait non the less. Catch a lot of Stripers on CA Delta with it too
