Found you by accident! Bloody glad I did. Great content and even better delivery. I rarely subscribe on the first video, but, hats off to you young man, I hit the button 5 minutes in. 👍
It’s hard to find a suitable comment section but gratz on the 10k landmark. Well deserved and hard earned. See you on the beach in Northern Ireland’s north coast sometime
Just found this bloke by accident and l am pleased to say he talks to me at my level. Economic logical solutions that end in results. Do l need to say any more??!👍👍🤘👍
Another useful video thanks Billy, and a good follow up to your last Dingle Dangle one. I will have to give that figure of 8 knot a go. Tight lines, stay safe & well. 🎣🎣👍👍
Ahhh you made it look so simple even I could tie this rig !!! I can see that foam may help keep those fking crabs off the bait too I'm going to incorporate that rig into sand man's double pulley !! Thanks bud ❤
Thank you Billy for all your helpful videos and Tips. Normally I'm spinfishing during holidays from the shore of Norway with okay fish around 40-70 cm of cod/coalfish, pollack. Next time i want to use a deadbait rod while I am spinfishing. For sure my gear is not optimal but I try to get some stuff an perhaps build some for my own. I have to use a spinning rod with braid and I read claw lead is not good for braid, cause it comes off the ground due to the low stretching? I think you have a video for making baitclips. 😅 What wire strength are you using?
Hi bud, glad you liked the video. Yes, dead bait fishing is good in the wintertime. When it's hard to move around. I think the problem with your lead weight lifting is, you need to put a monofilament leader in front of it. That might help because it has some stretch in it. Thanks Brother 👍😁
Great vid billy tried using the DD hear in Türkiye off the shore and marina but nothing seems to touch them and am using your same method 😢 a lot of the time I see locals using 4-5 hooks wrapped around a lump of chicken or squid and chucked out (other methods also )but nothing like the U.K. I would say they never seen a pulley rig before 😂 Keep up the good vids and maybe you should try Türkiye 1 day to fish
Billy, I'm just an ald gadgy who's never used anything other than a two loop paternoster for everything. I looked in me tackle box (a tobacco tin) and all that was in there was some rusty hooks. The only beads I had were the beads of sweat on me forehead. Do you think it's time for me to be hanging up me rod? 😮
I love fishing with the Pulley rig and my go to rig for years.. I will start using this rig with a circle hook and dongle but the dongle attached to a gemini splash down solo clip so ity is locked in place and won't unclip but I think like you said the bait will just smash against the rig body hence why the South African Rig is the favourate. Is the loop knot strong enough to hold the wire trace to the mono in that rig??
What are your thoughts Billy on using a loop knot, rather than snell, with a circle hook and dingle dangle? P.s. I always enjoy your videos, please keep up the great work.
Hi bud. If the line is passed through the eye of the hook correctly and the knot is tied around the shank it will work exactly the same. Glad you like the vids Brother, see you on the beach 👍😁👌
Hi bud. No not really, I like to use 80 to 100 lb line and just make the stop knot longer. This has the same effect. saves money, and this plastic in the sea. Thanks Brother, much appreciated 👍😁
I’ve been trying these dingles and got an old t shirt and wrapped it round the tubing with the elastic then fish oil before baiting up, there’s so many options for these, Also so far not a badly hooked fish. thanks for making the time to put up the tutorials
@@Billyfishing_watch it adds a bit of buoyancy and helps the bait bind to the dangle too. You don't need a full length piece. I have some made with ear plugs and thread the braid through two of them and then bind on the bait. Just be careful cutting bait off
Havent been out fishing this winter yet, specifically targeting Codling. I think when i do though khopefully next weekend) am going to use pulley rigs (my go to rig now) with a dingle dangle but not with circle hooks, am going to tie them with some large sized Octopus or Chinu hooks. Will be able to use some nice sized baits. Bluey, squid, lug/rag, crab, herring, razor and cocktails of some of the above, without worrying about masking hookpoints
Hi bud. I make fishing videos, if circle hooks made you miss bites. I wouldn't be making fishing videos! , well not good ones. It's all about getting the system to work, and having confidence in it. Thanks Brother, see you on the beach 😁👌
After watching the video on Dingle-Dangles (god I love saying that!) I find comfort in that video that says when you are just getting started fishing in a new area, just get out there and fish and learn more as you go! LOL Fishing the Florida Keys most of my life is quite different from what I'm trying to learn now... Thanks Billy for so much great info!
Hi bud. Glad the videos are helping, thanks Brother. Maybe one day, I will fish the Key too. If you have any questions, just ask. See you on the beach 😁👌
