Learning how to fish Lake Toho in December can be tricky. Actually, learning how to fish Lake Toho, in General, can be extremely tricky. Throw in some post cold front conditions, and who knows what will happen, right? Actually, December is one of my favorite months to fish West Lake Tohopekaliga and the rest of the Kissimmee Chain. Our Largemouth Bass usually become very active with the cooling water temperatures, and can be pretty easy to catch. Sure, you can always catch them flippin' and punchin'... But, who wants to do that when their chasing schools of shad all over a submerged hydrilla flat? I don't! In this video, we caught them on almost everything we threw... Spinnerbaits, lipless crank baits, chatterbaits, and jerkbaits. Though we didn't catch a lot, Bob (my customer) and I, had a great time catching nearly 30 quality Largemouth Bass. Bob contacted me, and said he was new to the area and wanted to learn to fish Toho. He picked a great day for it. Hope you enjoy the video!
