Pete, Being immersed in the Hayward area, I'd like you to vent on the topic of the good old "world record musky." You know, our dear friend Louie and the lore surrounding that era. I'd like to scratch those old records from the books and start recording only live release records, personally... Also, can you talk about barb-less hooks and how you'd feel if they were mandatory in the States. I would like to see stricter regulations on the number of treble hooks per bait as well as mandatory barblessness. I think it is the number one tool we could utilize when trying to reduce mortality. Thank you for the videos, they, really help!
Pete what type of rod is this? I noticed it’s quarter turned kind of cool! Also I noticed you have a couple omen musky rods u know anywhere I could still get my hands on one?
This vid will be major use to be here soon, I've never muskie fished using tubes before but I just won a contest where I got 8 of them, they dont have the hooks inside them though, so what should I look up for the rig to by the hooks and weight for muskie tubes?
For cranking power, better to have a lower gear ratio ( say 5 to 1) and a larger, full spool of line. For lures that don't pull real hard, faster ratios make sense for ease and an extra boost of speed when you need it.
