These are some tips to help you be successful when fishing a swim jig for smallmouth bass! Swim Jigs are great during the spring time for smallmouth, especially around shallow water. Swim Jigs catch giant smallmouth and can trigger big bites!

This is something I need to fish more. I love casting\skipping jigs, football jigs, etc. I just don't toss a swimmer a lot.

GREAT VIDEO Ben!! Great topic and timely topic, as I was throwing one the other day and just had NO confidence I knew what the hell I was doing. This video let's me know 1) I am not dumb and was doing a few things right and 2) other things I can do to increase my success rate. So these are GREAT video topics that are super helpful and informative. Just as a follow up from our top 5 spring time baits, I connected with two huge fish Wednesday on a 1/2 oz double willow spinnerbait with a chartreuse boot tail trailer ticking the tops of sprouting vegetation. Caught a 4 lb smallie that was FAT FAT FAT and a nice 3.5 largemouth that wasn't as fat, but definitely feeding up. It was friggin cold on the water, but those two fish made it all worthwhile... Thanks for the content... Keep up the good work.

This is exactly what I have thought . Some swimjigs are just too much for smallie fishing . That beast coast is one I like but huge beefy hook . So trailers is a fluke a option to have even less resistance or you want that kicking action ?

Sorry, but putting timing specific info on these videos doesn't necessarily do the swim jig justice. It can be fished spring through fall. It does not stop producing.
