Can I just say... after spending months trying to figure out what toilet seat would fit in the first place (as the previous 2 broke very quickly due to the them being the wrong size and me basically FORCING them to fit) I then had to learn how to fit this latest one properly. Thank you so much for this in depth, literally step-by-step instruction for us that don't have a clue, because after 2 hours of trying and googling different instructions - I FINALLY have a perfectly fitted toilet seat that's functional and works like a dream! One thing I have found on every other site, is although the important part of needing to measure the space between the seat holes are important, nobody seems to mention the length-way issue I had. I had measured the distance at the back between the holes perfectly, but when I came to try the 'first closing' the seat was hanging way over the front. Thanks to your advice though, I was able to push it back and even it out widthways because the screws were just at the right looseness for wiggle room. I'm sure lots of people will read this and think oh what a saddo, but when you've relied on your partner to do these type of things for decades - and then suddenly you have to do these things yourself, it's not as easy as I'd expected. Like everything in life, it's only easy when you know how - and next time, I know how 😂 Thank You, Lin. 😊
Excellent video. I'm 70 years old and my husband passed away last years, so now finding things around the house that need doing, but, would have always been done by him. Toilet seat had been loose for over 6 months and wouldn't tighten. I watched your video, found the plastic raw plug thing had stretched, ordered a pair from Amazon for just over £3, and, completed my first real DIY job 😂 Once again for a very clear video 😊
Wonderful to hear and thanks for taking the time to write this, I'm sorry to hear about your late husband but its amazing to see the determination your showing to overcome these pesky jobs around the house. Good for you and keep it up :)
