Start off by saying obviously you can fit more with a car that doesn't have stock wheel tubs...
This is how I have done it on multiple cars. Mine dint turn out the best because when I originally rolled the fenders it was freezing outside. To keep paint from cracking you have to use a heat gun and get the paint pretty warm.
On the inside you basically use a mini sledge and beat it in.

Thanks guys just solved my issues new to the fox game and was sick I spent a lot on wheels and tires when they didn’t fit I was beside myself

axle length comes into play a lot for these since some just swap an sn95 rear to get 5 lugs it will stick outside of the fender more but a lot more inside clearance. A block of wood vs just using a sledge helps too when you beat them in.

I ran a 28.5x9 slick for racing and a 255/60-15 for the street. Didn't rub and hooked great. I tried 275s on the street but I didn't like the stance and they rubbed. Cool car , love the vids.

If you do not want to bang on your inner fenders and roll your out fender lip for clearance, you can run a 275 50 15 and get plently of clearance and even run the quad shocks with no issues. Only thing is you will have a larger gap between the tire and upper wheel well lip. That is what I run on my 85 foxbody.

Hidden 10s Garage ....i believe so, shorter tires give you a getter rear axle gear ratio.

Did you use a 8,9,or 10" rims. I was thinking a 275/50/15 Nitto NT555 (2) on 15×10" Welds racing wheels on my 85 gt

@@robertbeacher3682 I believe the welds where 8 inches wide, I no longer run with that set up. I now run 26 inch Mickey Thompson ET street bias plys with 10 inch SVE drag pack. This new set up cut 3/10th off my times. Im running consistent 12.3 @112mph
