I had fun watching your video, enjoyed when you talked about technical design issue in the first place, you're an awesome man and I appreciate your informative tech support, our community proud of each of you that helps people in any way Thanks brother!!
Great video and surprising at the same time we could have thought that there was much more LED strip on these screens after when you are not in the business it is still a delicate operation you have to hang on to do it anyway bravo !! to you and bravo!! for making this video is very informative thank you Super vidéo et surprenante en même temps on aurait pu penser qu'il y avait beaucoup plus de bande LED sur ces écrans après quand on est pas du métier c'est quand même une opération délicate il faut s'accrocher pour le faire quand même bravo !!! à vous et bravo !!! d'avoir fait cette vidéo c'est très instructif merci
Watched and followed your video to dismantle my iMac 27 screen. Thanks VERY much for providing this so I could see what to expect as I went. I've got a screen that comes on dim and goes dark after a few minutes, and after testing the GPU with an external screen I decided to try dismantling my screen to see if the problem was related to these little plugs. Damned if they weren't still fully plugged in an attached. Perhaps its the inverter board. Anyway, I'm reassembling now, giving me a chance to put new LED strips in and try to fix my yellowed out reflector tape. Used a water-alcohol solution to clean it, but all that did was make the reflector cloudy. I'd love to replace the tape, but couldn't find it on Amazon or other similar suspects. Any suggestions on where to buy it?
I have the same problem with yellowish tint on the display lower edge, due to the reflector tape yellowish discoloration. I am going to apply aluminum tape, a thicker type like Tesa or something, so I can polish it up shiny. Not as good solution as the original new but way better than the old yellow one and WAY cheaper as well ;)
@@alexeijolkin7851 thanks very much for the input. I tried out space blanket material instead and it was all looking promising, but the replacement LEDs I got from China were a rip-off and the originals had lights damaged from the dismantling. In the end, I re-assembled and nothing worked, and THEN the LCD got a hairline crack from the whole mess not fitting back into the frame! Not sure if I could still redeem the thing but the time investment alone has rendered the whole thing a bust. Never, EVER, will I buy a Mac product again. I'm thinking Hackintosh.
@@AtticusMullikin Wow, I should have read your comments first before trying with alcohol, too. But anyhow, I will give the space blanket material a try!
I need help about old "Early 2009 24 A1225 Imac" Display! Can i replace a LM240WU2(SL)(B4) with another LM240WU2(SL)(B2) Display? Could someone help me please?
My imac is 17inch.. When I witch on it starts I see the apple logo.. Then the screen goes black. But the cpu n hard drive are working... The 17inch does not use led what could be the problem
How can you say that you "know a little bit about this stuff" and not laugh? 24" 2013/14 eh? It's NOT 24" as the last one was 2009 and it's not 5mm at edge so it's before 2012 redesign. I'm sure after this first 60 seconds it is all fine......
