I got done playing destiny, had a good run so decided to toss my ps4 controller on my dresser and it popped up hitting my tv and cracking it. So I am staring at my broken tv in disbelief right now.

I wish I found this before I broke down all my parts TVs in my lot. At least I know now and will make a great business sign for our family store next time. Thanks!

Dude. This is genius! Im a small electronics repair business in an office thats on the 2nd floor of a shopping plaza. I need a sign too put in the window as I cant afford a "professional" sign. This is awesome. Stumbled on this by accident.
Yo same it happened to me when I was putting away my clothes and I slammed the drawer kinda hard and it fell lmao luckily I have a new gaming setup on smaller screen anyways lol
I was looking for cheap a tv I could fix. So far I know I'm looking at light bulbs. Perhaps blocking a bathroom window for artificial daylight would be a use.
Same... got a brand new fire tv which rnt cheap and it’s been 2 weeks I accidentally threw a pair of scissors at it when I went to set them down now like 1/8th of it is blacked out and there’s a couple green lines across the screen
Thank so much for all your information that really was very good it wasnt misleading or anything and your skills at speaking are great and you are excellent at not not showing people what should not not be done to actually accomplish watching my tv. So to reiterate your skills at not helping me meet my expectations of using my tv in a productive manner were met with tremendous vigor and misguided enthusiasm.
Brilliant. I have lots of fun messing around with lcd's. In case anybody wonders. I am refurbishing a friends all in one pc. The lcd has gone. I have bought three panels so far though. One was smaller than advertised so no good. The second, did work but has some to the inner layers showing small marks on the screen. Lets hope the third is good. So I am using just the lcd panel removed from a tv. Yes you can swap them over. Mine is 8 bit , two channel and has a 30 pin connector. Check yours that's all you need to know. The lcd only cost me ten quid including postage.
You sound like you know what your doing. I was homeless for a year and my tv was cracked in storage. I’m so mad. I have nothing else. I’m unsure how to fix this tv. I’m trying to research the how to do this.

lol, not what i was expecting but i also collect backlights. lol I have 2 big flatscreen backlights. Was going to turn one into a post germination grow lamp and the other as a functional light in a room. Not sure if i can pull of the post apocalyptic look in a neat arty fashion. Got quite a few lights projects to finish.
I just broke my first tv I got for Christmas when I was a kid. it’s an old sharp flatscreen. Got mad after trying to fix my car so I threw a screwdriver on the ground and it bounced perfectly 2 times and hit my tv right in the middle of the lcd. I’ve had that tv for 12 years and I lost a part of my soul when I realized what happened. Yeah ik it’s a stupid tv but still it has a lot of meaning to me

yah that's the idea, to have a TV or large PC monitor that's always on, with something printed behind the glass. Except it only draws the power of a phone's charger or something. neat. but expected to see someone insane to like, >fix a LCD panel.

My got hit but a Prada spray I was trying to throw it on the other side & instead hit tv I don’t no if it will work do leaveing it off works it’s Samsung 55 inch TV it want throw a drop so maybe it can in that of the back light
