Hi .. I have a question .. my C930 after few minutes suddenly shut down. Also, the battery is not charging "zero" .. I have cleaned it reset fan, RAM and battery but it is still shut down! While cable is connected; battery should not affect keeping the laptop ON .. Is it RAM in addition to battry replacemnt or mother board or something else?!! .. Please advise .. thanks.

Hi there! Cheers for posting this! Are those two circular looking fans inside? I bought a C930 recently and now sending it back for a replacement bc the machine it too hot and overclocking even right after start up. When I tried to diagnose using PC tools, such as, SpeedFan, the software didn't even detect any fans. I called Lenovo Premium Care and they simply had no answer for me. Cheers for your insight!

make sure you update to latest bios and that power mode is balanced. that fixed it for me. This ultrabook runs warm in general because of intel 14+++++++++ nm lithography and the fact that its so thin. Good luck.

I have the same labtop. My labtop run on battery but does not charge the battery or power the labtop. I changed the power adapter. Still the labtop does not charge. I changed the power module also no luck. What could be the problem?

How did you bypus the on off switch. Is it just connect the pins?

Yes , just short the pins and see if you can get any power. You can also measure the voltage and look for the 3 or 5v.

I have a C930 with a slightly different power on problem. When I plug in the laptop, it powers up just fine but, when it is battery only I get nothing. The battery says it is charged and it was working yesterday, good battery. Just nothing when I hit the power button with just battery power.

Have the same laptop. Battery stuck at 77% but won't run off the battery only when plugged in. Any suggestions?

sir please help... my laptop yoga 910-13ikb they are no display on screen but the laptop is working and they warm.. i dont know what i do. itry the reset bottom and also i try to open it but no luck... do you know sir what are the fault? but before the black screen they are appear a error on the pc like a blue screen and say they need to restart but after the restart the laptop screen is hang then after that boom the screen not working and no display.. please and suggestion sir what should i do.. :(

This notebook has a not of problems with batteries. Mine already had 2 replaced under warranty. Battery wear&tear is unbelievable even though I use the device properly and I am not discharging battery bellow 40%.

Nice video especially since my Lenovo Yoga C930 Glass has this exact problem. It did a windows update and then never turned on again. Even the charging light does not come on. I hope it is the power button. I took it to a couple of places and they don't seem to know what they were doing and that includes Best Buy. They did not do anymore than I did to fix the problem such try another power adapter, hold down the power button for 30 seconds or with the F key also pressed down. Nothing works. Best Buy is saying it is the motherboard without even opening up the laptop and taking a look. They wanted to charge me $500 to send it out to some other service center to replace the motherboard. So, I ordered some tools to help me take it apart and hopefully I can fix it as this cost me quite a lot. If not I will just buy another laptop, but I will not buy Lenovo again. I think I will try an HP next time. Too bad though I kind of liked this one. It booted really quick.

Well, looks like they were correct. It is the motherboard. I managed to take the back off and remove the battery and SSD drive. I was poking around trying to measure some voltages on the board. The 20v is getting to the board, but there is nothing else, not even 5v getting to the fan. I also smell something burning so it really does look like the motherboard. Well, time to go out and buy a new laptop. I think I will buy a Dell this time.

@@zk_6312 Damn, what a story. I am sorry you had such bad experience with your laptop. I bought mine 2 years ago and already the battery only lasts 15 minutes at 100% charge. It's so disappointing, this damn pc cost me over 1500€ only to last for a year, I was never this disappointed in a product.

@@pikminfanclub i quite agree with you. I spent around $1900.00 for it to only last 18 months. Unfortunately, I did not extend the waranty though looking back I should have since it died just after the Waranty expired. I have never had a laptop go bad so quickly. I have a Dell now at half the price though it is only an I5 with 8GB ram and so far it is working great. I did extend the waranty this time though.
