i've had a chinese motorcycle 110cc for 6 years now and never had issues starting or idle or anything. it just runs good. even the battery has 13 volts after 6 years. i started to like chinese products bcz of it.

My bike only idles on choke and it’s a low ish idle and then soon as it’s warm and I drop the choke it will idle for about 5 to 10 seconds nice then it gets lumpy then dies, also when Im riding it’s perfect no bogging or dead spots but on decel I get single loud bangs out of the exhaust but no flames, no black smoke and ive checked the plug and even put a new one in it. I’ve also put a new cdi on it, do you know what my problem is. Ive got a video of the idle on choke then taking choke off and it dies after 5 ish seconds
It might be the carburetor jets clogged mine been doing this too I got a new bike last week and everytime I turn choke off it dies and someone told me that it might be clogged maybe check that because that’s what I’m bout to do
\I have a problem with this tool, it's a KTM 250 2T The tool has not been used for almost a year This week I found time to take care of it, I did a fuel-oil change, I cleaned the filter plug, everything, finally I tried to start it, but the car could not start. It only started with carburetor spray and shut off straight away From that I understood that the carburetor needed to be cleaned and that's how I did it. Now the problem is different, the motorcycle engine goes straight up to very, very high levels I played with the air-fuel screw but unfortunately it didn't help. Is there a situation where the problem is different? Something in the carburetor maybe? need help please
Thanks for this video vary helpful my crf150 Idols high when hot and revs when the bike is stoped its really annoying when riding on the trails I am hoping it’s an air leak
@@AaronsEnduro ive already cleaned my carb and my sparkplug is optimal. But the idle gets high when i ride it about 5-6 km. And the idle becomes good if i pull the choke. It feels like running lean when my engine ride about 5-6 km it reaches 3k to 4k rpm
I got a KLX450R. When I start it the idle is normal, then after I blip the throttle the idle goes up higher, and stays at that rpm. Not sure what it could be.
Hi, I have a crf150r and my bike will not run with the choke off. I have cleaned the pilot jet and could see through it. I also replaced my spark plug. Is there anymore tips that could help.
Did you ever regard what color the plug was? Is a bike only wants to run when choke is on, to me id say its too lean of a main jet, or possibly not enough overall fuel delivery via the fuel screw. Check the rotations on the fuel screw m, should be somewhere around 1.5-2 rotations. If you want to chat 1 on 1 you should check this out ru-vid.com/show-UCcviyKZ2Vf3IHFliwebzODAjoin
bike will start but when u hit the gas it just starts idling high like the throttle is stuck but the throttle isn’t stuck and it just keeps building rpms brand new engine and new carb
Please respond to me. I can’t figure out why my quad won’t run. Because it will take a while to start it (it’s kick) if it starts, and if it runs it won’t idle and you can keep it alive for about 30s to a minute and it will cut all throttle and die, and also it is fouling plugs in minutes but no visible damage and normally still look new. (I think) please respond😢
My bike is fine for the first 10 minutes idles good rides good but then it just starts screaming and I change the idle screw and it stays the same it’s just screaming please someone help me
24 xtrainer..starts fine..after a little run around ..having trouble starting it have to give a little throttle..sometimes when slowing down it dies?? Whats going on?
Got a 250cc, and it starts but i doesn't keep running without extra gas, but the idle rpm's are already very high. When i let go off the gas the rpm's decrease and the bike shuts off. Like what do i need to change?
What about a hanging idle when i rev it up and let off it’ll hang at high rpm’s for like 4 secs and slowly go back down to idling good. It also pops a lot when accelerating and letting off
@@AaronsEnduro haven’t checked my spark plug yet but I got the aftermarket longer fuel screw adjuster and I also figured out that the boot from the intake to the carb was loose so I tightened it, seated the fuel screw, turned it 2 turns out and couldn’t get it to run right. Still bogging. Messed with it somemore and now I can’t get it to run without the choke pulled out (on) and when it is on with the choke pulled out it idles really high. When I push the choke back in it dies. I’m pretty lost. Might have to rebuild the carb idk.
Help. Have a Baja 70cc pit bike. I’ve adjusted the valves, 2-3 carbs, and 2-3 throttle cables. Starts right up, but revs to the moon, and adjusting the carb does nothing. Fixed the Honda CRF50F, but this Baja is pissing me off.
My bike will fire up almost first kick as long as I am giving it some throttle and keep revenge it to keep it running. If I try to let it idle it dies right away but if I ride the bike it runs great at all times until I let it idle again it dies any ideas?
Hi, great vid! Though I can't find a solution for my problem. It's really weird, without choke it will rev up and wont go down, but also sometimes it does not and it dies.. If I have full choke then it revs up a lot, so the only way I can run it okay is it I have the choke on like 1/5, but even when I do that it dies on idle, but it doesn't rev up a lot. The idle screw does nothing even if I screw it out all the way or in. I cleaned the jets, but it did nothing except give it a bit different sound. Someone have any idea what I can do?
Well if you need the choke on for it to run, that means you’re making the bike richer. So my assumption would be that the bikes running lean. What colour is your spark plug
I think usually an idle that drastically varries it's often a vaccum leak. Not always but it's a possibility make sure your intake manifold is tight and doesn't have cracks. Make sure the seal between the engine and intake manifold is sealed well.
@@jammydodger1221 Not yet sadly. I took a break from fixing with it and I'm gonna pick it up again soon. So I'll let you know if I find out what the problem was!
I have a problem with my bike, I would really apreciate if you could find time to help me. So it starts kinda hard, and then it idle properly, but when I left the throttle after a couple minutes of full throttle, it starts reving even higher. It had a problem staing on, even with the idle screw screwed all the way in so I grind a little from the flap to make more room for air. This solved the probleme, but on a new engine I think it will idle way to high. This is a 66cc 2 stroke, piston port, with a full speed around 55km/h. And it have around 6000 km so far on this set, the bottom end have way more, around 15000km, but it dosent have leaks so I think its still working properly. I recently change the piston rings, beliving that those could be the problem, and indeed the old ones were wore off. I didnt change the piston or cylinder yet, and it still rev like crazy after riding wot for awhile. I try with another carb and the same problem occured (with the same jet). Going up on the jet, will make the engine start easier, but its performance decrease semnificantly, getting only to 30-35km/h. This new generation of sets from the past couple of years, I noticed have the piston skirt for transfer lower with almost 1mm. And have a sever decrease in performance.
What if when I turn it on just staright up revs the shit out of it like it gonna blow whole bike is jumping backwards I gave it no gas just turned it on I have KLX140G I cleaned carb and put back on started doing that what did I do before cleaning carb bike wouldn’t stay on without giving it throttle so I figured clenaing was my best but ended up doing something wrong I guess
I added a new reed and my dirt bike turns on added a new throttle she turns on but I gotta keep giving it gas the throttle has a free play and it’s got a baby bug
why my exc when it is on rocks and on 1st gear it will keep turning off ? this problem it make it when it is only on rocks if you are on a flat surface it works perfect
Could u tell me why when i ride my 2020 hawk i just got it 3 days ago when i ride and stop the bike just turns off and i have to push to start or kickstart it?
hey i have a problem with my dirt bike i messed around with the choke (honda crf 250 2012) i spinned it around and now my dirtbike starts with a good idle but aafter i give it some throttle in neutral or even ride it,it begins to idle at higher rpm (if i turn it off and start it again it will idle good but after some throttle it does it again) please help me !
All you have to do is get the bike running, get it warmed up fully. Then adjust the idle screw on the side of the carb until it idles calmly with the choke off. Then your idle is set. Ez pz Google will also give you a good breakdown of doing it. Its real easy!
I have a 125cc mini chopper I’m building and it doesn’t kick over without the choke and when I put the choke down it sounds like it’s gonna explode please help me
Just got a 2011 crf450r and it start fine with the choke… and when I try and turn the choke off it won’t stay running even when she’s burning hot and it won’t start unless the choke is pulled. I know nothing about fuel injectors.
check the color of your plug. and see if it looks white. The choke being on increase's fuel for starting (by reducing the amount of air entering the carb). My assumtion is your might need to add somefuel on your pilot jet, or possibly on your fuel screw if the plug is very white
So I just rebuilt my bike and did the valves. All the clearances are good. When I start it, it likes to bog when I give it throttle right on startup and when it’s good it has a little bit hesitation and a hanging idle. For reference the idle is set to around 1900rpm and hanging is like maybe 3500. Any ideas? I checked all the boots and lines are all that but I’m thinking it’s the jets clogged
Aaron, I have a problem with 125 cc Chinese bike. I can not get it to idle. I have cleaned the carb thoroughly and the Pilot Jet openings as well as fuel mixture screw are clear. If I put my finger over the bleed air inlet at the front of the carburetor, the rpm increases but I just can’t get it to idle with any adjustment of the fuel mixture screw. Any ideas?
I need help. I fell off of my bike doing a wheelie like a moron. I had to replace the silencer, because the hanger was bent. The header pipe has a slight bend, but the new fmf slid right on and I put the bolts in. It starts fine. If I rev it, it will continue to stay loud. Air screw position is within spec. Idle screw doesn’t really do anything. It just holds the rev even when I’m not revving it. The bike also goes by itself without any throttle. When I have the kickstand down it will move on its own. Also when I fell off my throttle was stuck. I took the throttle apart and I cleaned everything with wd40. At first I would twist the throttle and it would not snap back. When I put the throttle and everything back together it started snapping back when I let off the throttle. Throttle feels normal. Please help if you can. Thanks.
Hey there buddy, sounds like a couple things are goin on. Firstly if your idle screw was able to “hold the revs” as you say, its working and you want to lower it until is sounds calm running and smooth. 2nd if your throttle is sticking im guessing when u crashed the end of throttle and grip got smashed inwards onto the bar end
@@AaronsEnduro well when I kick it over it starts fine. The weird thing is that the bike literally moves while in neutral with the kickstand down. I could ride for a while without using the throttle and it would never die or stall. I turned the idle screw all the way to the left to see if it would quiet down the idle, and it didn’t change the idle at all.
My apollo would wheel itself around on the kickstand too. It was just the bike rattling forward. To verify you dont have any drive force when it supposed to be just idling, jack the bike up so the wheels off the ground and see if when its running the wheel spins forward. As for the idle screw its hard for me to guess over yt without being able to look at it and disassemble the carb.
@@AaronsEnduro I’ll have to check tomorrow to see if the wheel spins while idling. If it does what’s the fix? I read that it could be an air leak. But I would think if their was an air leak the bike would want to shut off with lack of fuel. I’m just not sure.
My bike only idles on choke and it’s a high ish idle and then soon as it’s warm and I drop the choke it will idle for about 5 to 10 seconds nice then it gets lumpy then dies, also when Im riding it’s perfect no bogging or dead spots but on decel I get single loud bangs out of the exhaust but no flames, no black smoke and ive checked the plug and even put a new one in it. I have a 2009 crf 250r it ran fine till I did a carb clean on it and now it stars fine but without touching the throttle it will rev up a lot then after 10 secconds it will either go down or die out. It is also backfiring like crazy and the pips starts glowing red after startup because of high idle. Do you know what the problem is?
Mine doesn’t want to idle unless its warm What could be the cause of that i got the mikuni carb from amazon and put a 110 main jet in it and it still wont idle until the motors warm then it idles fine any ideas?
I have a 250cc dirt bike. I bought it few days ago and when I want to start it, it will start and idle but I have to rev it every five seconds before it turns off. When it warms up its fine. Is that normal? It has an electric start, is it supposed to start as soon as I click the button and it switches over like 6 or 7 times?
@@AaronsEnduro no I'm not and I think that's my problem too. I'm basically supposed to start it on choke and when it dies out I start it again without choking it?
You turn the choke on to start the bike cold, then once its been warming up for a minute turn the choke off. Now that the bike is hot, you continue to start it without the choke for the remainder of the ride
No matter what my bike is on choke on or off it's won't run or accelerate with accelerator but if i spray quick start in it it will accelerate with hom much I put in and I have no idea whats wrong with it
What about throttle body bikes? 2019 KTM 450 EXC-F. High idle when hot, have to slip clutch to get ECU to bring it back down. Also stalled out on take off (loud pop/backfire?) after idling at an intersection.
Any advice on why my bike runs for 3 to 5 seconds then does a big rev up and stalls? It will generally start again but it just keeps doing 1 rev up and then Immediately stalls?
@@AaronsEnduro i have 25:1 in it and it ran for a few minutes but I think it got hot and then stalled. Now every time it starts it just idle normally but then revs quickly into a stall. I picked these up free so I have no idea what motor or condition they were in
Hey Just picked up a 125 4 stroke pit bike runs and starts great when the engine is cold but 3 mins of riding and the bike stalls out and won't run without stalling until the bike cools down?? What do I do to fix this please help!
@@AaronsEnduro what would you recommend i try and do I'm going to work on it tomorrow hopefully I can get it going the bike feels great for 3 mins until it gets warmed up and the bike just shuts off and will not run until cooled down.
