Great video, and a nice motor too. 😀 I have a couple of broken motors I need to open up and fix. Just cleaned up a Thorens style motor on my channel. I don't think you need to have the music all the way through it though. It would have been nice at the end to have heard what the motor sounded like. Was the metal softened where you made the new hole? I understand about the angle grinder but how hard was it to drill the new hole? Thanks and looking forward to more videos from you 😀

Hello!!! Before you open the hub make sure to take note how the spring coiled. There are 2 types of gramophone mechanism "Single" & "Double Spring" driven phonographs.
Hello there! about this spring it's hard to find it. the only way you can acquire this kind of spring is in Ebay or from a salvaged gramophone parts. On the other hand if you have a broken spring at the "End" part of it you can actually fixed it. But if the spring broke at the center that's the time you try to find a new one.
Sa ngayun boss wala but bigyan kita ng hint kung paano. Una mong gawin is i unwind mo totally ibig sabihin is hanggang sa ma ubos yung tension ng spring. Pangalawa is tanggalin mo yung governor yan yung nag regulate ng speed may tatlong weights after mo matanggal saka mo na baklasin ang natirang parts. Ingat lang sa spring mag goggle po kayo.
@@ismaelcapiral5304 Cebu City po ako sir then limited lang po yung mga parts ko sa gramophone especially spring wala po akong spare parts sa spring. If malayo kayo sa akin sir or outside Cebu hindi po ako tumatanggap dahil sa limited yung mga spare parts ko. Tapos shipping magastos hindi ko alam kung magawa ko dahil nga sa limitado parts ko dito.
I cut the broken part. I'm lucky the broken part is at the end of the spring. No difference because the broken part is at the end of the spring if it is in the middle then spring cannot play the full length of the records.
My tip to find a spring is salvage from other gramophones That's what I do in case I need spring. Or just check on Ebay maybe you can find there selling parts of gramophone.
