It worked! Just pulled it out, dusted it off and now it's not getting stressed out as much as before. It is a major flaw because it highly affects battery time when it's going off like a PS4 jet engine. I compared the Intel Core i5 @ 1.60GHz before 70 °C and after 47 °C. Highly suggest doing this.

Thanks for the lovely video, I was going through you comment section and I noticed you mentioning something about "if fan not working perfectly then it'll definitely distract and slow down the laptop" at that moment, I knew that my hp (pavilion 15) laptop needs a new fan, cause I bought it 2 years ago and I've been using it excessively for college work, and it's making unusual loud noises which add on to my stress and makes my mood worse than it is while studying lol. I'll take it tomorrow to get it sorted & hopefully the fan will be the issue. Its noise is stuck in my head 24/7 all the time that's how loud it is lol.

Thanks for helping guide me through this, this is sure going to help me save money, all I had to do was order a new fan and get it replaced after I receive it. Believe me, my fan was dead and not working. I know it says 5 volts on it. Maybe I could take it out and apply 5 volts just to make sure it's not the motherboard being damaged.

It always a risk to take a part a computer if you haven't done it before but it also risky to keep using a computer that the fan isn't working properly. @@EggheadFixers hi thanks for the reply! hmm is that so, i also think if its only when turning on and off it can be considered common. But then i figure it out later, when my laptop automaticaly turn into sleep mode somehow it produce a loud fan noise. It wasnt hot, probably warm at most (even when i shut it down untill its cooling down, then turned it back on just to test the noise in sleep mode, nothing changed), and i dont think i've got any short of fan errors. Aside from when in sleep mode, apparently if the battery was not fully charged, when you shut it down and plug it in to charge it up, it will make those loud fan noise too, untill its fully charge / the battery indicator turn white / i unplug the charging cord. The thing is i just got this, and i dont really get it if that considered normal or not. so i tried to look for similar case on the internet to help me out (but no luck so far haha), at least before i send it to service center i know that those sound were not normal,..

Hey! I've got a HP 15-da0095TX and I think the left hand fan is either clogged or busted. Only issues are; 1. I have a stripped screw (never tried opening the back before, its just stripped?), and 2. I have no idea how the back case comes off, either. Not sure what to do about the screw, as I don't want to damage the case, but also even if I could get it out, I have no idea how to get the back off or if it just needs to be pried open.

You can look up your model on HP.com/support and there will be manual that will tell you how to take it apart. Sometimes using a bigger screwdriver can help with a stripped screw or a pair of needle nose plyers. If you can get the screw off you will most likely need to replace it.

Hi. Last year I've bought an HP Envy 15-ee0003nl (with ryzen 5 4500U) and since the beginning, I've notice an high pitched sound from the fans. Not just the airflow sound, but also that high pitched sound (like a jet turbine)... So I've sent the laptop to HP some months ago and they've replaced the fans (they've wrote that) and it still makes this high pitched sound. It doesn't have overheating problems. It's just that that high pitched sound is loud... Any solution? It is still under warranty, but they'll probably won't fix the laptop... They even said that i can disassembly it under warranty... The problem is that the screws are under the rubber... So not that easy do disassembly...
@EggheadFixers
@EggheadFixers 2 года назад
Some of the more high powered laptop fans can be very loud. If HP said they are working properly then there may not be much you can do as far as replacing the fans goes. Although if you use the laptop with a cooling pad it may help the computer stay cool. That will help the fans not to kick into high gear quite so often.
@TrioLOLGamers

@EggheadFixers
@EggheadFixers 3 года назад
Ya unfortunately HPs are notorious for their fan problems. It could be that the technician put in a used part which would explain it breaking so fast or if they did something like clean the fan instead of replacing it. For a dead pixel you can to any local repair shop to get that fixed. If you are looking for a good repair technician we recommend someone that is either HP or A+ certified.

It could be a bent heatsink. Do you have any cables near it? Sometimes if a cable is up against the fan it can make a noise. Also is the noise coming from the area of the fan or the hard drive? Flexing the chassis can bend the fan enclosure. Take it apart, but the cover and case on a glass table top to make sure that it's flat. Try to detect where the fan blades are hitting the enclosure, causing noise. Gently bend to get clearance. Test at each part of reassembly. These fans should be virtually silent. It could be a problem with your power cord or battery is causing the computer to work harder when it is plugged in. I would consider replacing the power cord and see if that helps.

So I have a HP laptop which is a year old, and all of a sudden after using it a ton and never experiencing this issue my fan or something makes like a "brrrrr" sound like a motor almost and once it does that it sounds like the fan stops, so I think it may be getting stuck on something. If anyone can help with this I will greatly appreciate it.
@EggheadFixers

It sounds like it may need replacing or something is jammed in it. You can follow the steps in the video to help fix that problem.

My laptop makes this sound, is it safe to keep the fan?
@EggheadFixers
@EggheadFixers 3 года назад
It depends on how loud it is. If it sounds like it's getting jammed or if the computer is overheating then that could cause a problem.
@convoid8438
@convoid8438 3 года назад
@@EggheadFixers thanks for the help, I do have another question though is this a common issue, if so, how can I prevent this from happening again?
@EggheadFixers
@EggheadFixers 3 года назад
@@convoid8438 Yes it is a very common issue. One big reason for this is dust and particulates getting into the computer and jamming the fan. So trying to keep your computer free of debris is one way to help keep your fan from breaking.

Actually, I'm quite upset right now because my HP hp15cc665ci has developed a noisy fan for the second time. I'm about to take it apart for the second time in the three years that I've owned. It sounds like it's dragging on something inside the computer. But if it's dirt build-up in the fan it points out a design flaw because I have used compressed air in every way imaginable just try and clear any dirt from the fan. And because it's dragging it's not spinning as fast as it should and speedfan says the core is running as high as a hundred ninety-five degrees which slows down the processing speed. And screaming High definitions up 4K works the processor hard even though it is an 8th generation i7-8550U CPU processor with 16 gigs of RAM.

Ya HP is brutal when it comes to fan problems. In our shop we replace more fans in HPs than we do any other brand computer. You would think they would fix that issue.
@jackhammer111

@@EggheadFixers I've wondered about that. Right now the core temp is 190 degrees and the fam is only running 1900 RPM's. But I'm not hearing anything right now . As you can see I'm dragging my feet getting it done
@EggheadFixers
@EggheadFixers 3 года назад
@@jackhammer111 Ya it sounds like it may be a problem. HP recommends an average running temperature below 140°F. Cooler temps, in general, are better when it comes to computers. Temperatures between 160°F to 195°F may be a cause for concern.

We looked for the specific model video to open it up, it only shows two panels that come off. No fan under either panel. No screws anywhere else to remove anymore pieces. I have an idea where the fan should be, near this vent, but no access. I'm about to rip my hair out.
@EggheadFixers
@EggheadFixers 8 месяцев назад
Do you have a hard drive or solid-state drive? Because sometimes a hard drive when it is failing can sound like a fan.
@mindyenglish5305
@mindyenglish5305 8 месяцев назад
@@EggheadFixers omg yes. It's a hard drive, and only one of the four screws are in it. It doesn't even look like it's connected all the way, but the computer works fine. He just keeps getting a malfunctioning fan alert, and the noise. Do you think that's the issue? I can screw those down. I created a worse issue, though. I found the fan, under the keyboard. I still can't get to it, because it's underneath the whole frame of the computer, like in between the keyboard and the back panel. I cleaned it as best I could with the canned air. But when I pulled up the keyboard, I didn't wait for the video directions to finish their sentence, and I pulled the connector ribbon right out of it. I can't find what I think was the connection piece, I saw it fall, but apparently it landed in a black hole that leads to another dimension, because it is nowhere in that room. So I ordered a new keyboard, overnight shipping, and tried to attach it. The ribbon just doesn't seem to connect. I tried it a couple of different ways, and nothing. So, trying to save myself a few dollars by cleaning it myself, I murdered my son's laptop.🥹🥹 I'm gonna keep trying. But, yeah, should I screw that hard drive all the way down? Thank you so much for replying.
@EggheadFixers
@EggheadFixers 8 месяцев назад
@@mindyenglish5305 The hard drive should be secure. So if the already installed screws are loose then yes i would tighten them.
