Hi I need help! I have an omen 17 and the power button blinks red off and on. The charging port shows that it's charging but the fans don't even start and the screen won't turn on. Thanks!

Does it give you any sort of error message when it crashes?

While this first video may get your HP laptop to start up and show a display, it is not a fix because the problem re-occurs after being shut down for a few hours. This is just a work around, the problem still exist. Once you laptop successfully loads after using this work around, it will shut down and reboot correctly all day long until you shut it down and leave it for several hours or over night. Then the issue returns and you have to go through tis process again. Thanks for the videos though, well done.

Have you tried to run the HP built in diagnostic to see if its a problem with some of your hardware?

Thank you. Yes, I have it found no issues. I currently have cmos battery disconnected and in the morning will plug it back in and see if it starts normally.

I have forgotten my bios password for my Omen 15_dc 1092TX is there a way to fix this because HP service centre tells me I’ll need to get my motherboard replaced.... and that’s very expensive like 763 dollars

YA unfortunately you will most likely need to get it replace. You can always look into the price of a used motherboard

Pls I need ur help. I have an Omen 15.was using it and it went of suddenly and will not turn on. Power button LED and charging port LED blinks when I try to turn it on

Sorry to hear that:( First step does the LED light blinks in any sort of pattern? Like 2 white 3 orange and then it repeats itself. Let me know if it does.

@@EggheadFixers thanks for ur reply .was able to fix it today by removing the CMOS ba3.it works fine now .i was LED was blinking continuously in about 3 seconds intervals .

@@usamariaz1585 Same problem here. But it's not exact amount of time, have u tried using safemode? I think is a problem with the processor or the hard drive (including the OS as a software issues, could be). In between those components. Today I'll try some tricks, but tonight I'll try to use another HDD. And the last option would be replace the Intel processor. I checked my HDD, Windows says is fine, I cleaned entirely the pc, moved the Ram to another spot, changed the thermal paste, added a bit more of thermal paste, quit the battery, reset the CMOS, tried to reset Windows or replace existent with a recovered version, but throw an unexpected error: Because of that I think could be a HDD or OS issue. Debugging an error with no trace is the worst thing. My 5 cents are: Don't buy Omen, some models come with errors that have been notified to the company (speakers are bad bad quality) and the company doesn't care.

If you have an internal battery you will have to look up a disassembly video for your model computer so you can get inside your computer. You can do this same method in the video you will just have to unplug the battery from the motherboard instead of taking it out.
