HOW TO: fix a quad/atv/pitbike that has no spark 

I am sorry I forgot to add the electric starter circuit to the vid. (Positive wire): battery -> 30 amp fuse -> ignition button -> red wire or yellow/green on solenoid. (Ground wire) -> frame -> green or black on solenoid. (Main ignition wire) battery -> solenoid-> (comes off other pole) -> starter motor. Hope this clears things up

This video actually helped me identifying what was the problem on my atv was I didn’t know how check those coils thanks to you was able to find that the red and black coil didn’t give any voltage so I opened it up found the problem fixed it and now the engine runs it’s not tuned at all yet but it runs thanks man

absolute legend spent hours chasing a bad trigger switch in the stator/mag had to loosen the screws and scoot it forward to get my spark back !!! thx for the multi meter guide !!!

Hi, great video, I did all the measurements and on my red-black wire there is only around 6 volts instead of the shown 15-16 volts. What can cause this? Brand new complete wiring harness with everything (switches, solenoids and so on). Looks like the ignition solenoid would made to a 6V system

I just had the move the cdi box down a few cm

What should i do i don't get spark It's all right connected and good grounding and a new ignition coil. The CDI is working and i get voltage and everything but it won't work.

I saw how you connected everything but how do you turn the motor over what two wires do I connect or what push button do I connect to start the motor

Why doesn't my bike have spark? It gets power to the sparkplug but I can measure it only by putting negative on the tester to battery's negative it doesn't show anything if I put the negative on the frame? And I have brand new spark plug
