This was helpful, but it would’ve been much more helpful for me to have most of the visuals be of the step by step hack itself. - vs on you (no offense!) I.e. footage of the bed, the pieces of wood, their thickness, how you lay them out- exactly how far from the sides, putting the plastic down, how you secured that etc…all the steps you described verbally, it would be more helpful if you also showed them visually. Good idea though thanks👍

Why? All those steps are basic common sense. Measure your bed and get slats or boards to fit. Why do you need to see how the plastic is put on? Just lay it out. Use the brain in your skull. smh

What kind of mattress because this doesn't work for my pillow top mattress. What worked was flipping my pillow top mattress over and adding my pillow pillow topper to it and now no sag.

I folded an old comforter a couple of times in half long wise and then folded the ends together width wise and placed it in the middle of my box spring. I then placed my pillow top mattress that was sagging in the middle back on top of the box spring and the sag was gone. I also put a firm latex topper on top of the mattress for added support.

I’ve not trusted the new foam (no spring) mattresses. As it is, the one I have, that came out of a box, while now more than 10 years old, might’ve been better if it were a spring mattress. Easy for 1 person to bring inside and install, but probably a shorter life. Also, easiest way to get wood cut? Have the home improvement store do it for free.
