This is the only video I've seen that actually shows how to fix this problem. Other videos tell you to buy inserts, I already know about inserts. I want to know how to fix it.... so thanks for the helpful video 😁👍👍
Didn’t expect for this to actually work, but it did! I just bought a used purse from someone and this helped get a huge dented spot out of it. Thank you!
Thank you so much this really works…. Tip… it took over an hour for each side but I did in multiple sittings… in between I stuffed towel to maintain the shape… it’s still stuffed with towel to keep the shape.
This made a huge difference! I hung mine up by the handles while heating it so it stayed straight and laid it flat to cool. Much much better now! Thanks!
Finally I know how to fix my leather bag. I've been looking all over the internet on how to fix leather bags but all I can see is unboxing blah blah blah. Thanks for this video, it helped me so much!
Thank you!! I have been searching for/ watching videos for this topic for days and they were all either using equipment as expensive as buying a new bag or as or time consuming as earning the money for a new bag 😂 It they were loonnnng videos with little info. Loved this. Subscribed 🙂
Question. Did you put the Vaseline over the whole bag or only problem spots? My problem is the whole bag is saggy from the manufacturer. Can I stiffen a bag like this?
Does anyone know if I can stiffen a slouchy bag from the manufacturer? Do you put vaseline over the whole thing then? Anything you are blow-drying basically? Does it only work on leather I guess?
So I did this last night. It helped a good bit. BUT today I can see the spots where the Vaseline was because it’s glossy and shiny. And the area where the Vaseline wasn’t applied looks dull. Idk if it’s just me noticing it or if anybody else does. But so you have a suggestion to even it out?
Ok but wait, vaseline? Does it just absorb in with the heat...do you buff it off....does it leave a slick residue. Good for all leathers that looks like saffiano
I have a creased MK bag thats leaning to one side, I tried this method but it didn't work. Do I just need to do it longer? I'm also not sure what it's made of im not sure its leather.
Do it longer. Also stuff the bag into the shape you want. You can also steam it. It works on pleather too. I tried 15min but it did nothing to my bag. So I did it for an hour. I also let it cool it off completely for 2h before grabbing it
Will this work on the Prada saffiano double zip tote? Mine has terrible sagging on the sides, when brand new it was rigidly structured, which I loved. I’m seeing all the other used Prada Saffiano tote bags have the same sagging problem after a year. I fear Vaseline and your technique would make it even softer/more pliable.
Omg don’t! 😱 if your dealing with actually leather use Cadillac leather conditioner instead. If it’s LV canvas it won’t absorb any conditioners only leather will.
@@laurynhelena do you think maybe I should put staples on the inside to hold it up? It looks like the material on the inside is a whole separate part of its own
It depends on the type of leather. You wouldn't want to do this on a delicate, porous leather as the Vaseline may stain the bag and the heat may dry it out too much. The steaming method would work better on those types
The leather in the video is Saffiano which is coated with a polymer compound and stamped into that cross-hatched look. It is one of the most durable types of leathers. Being a black bag also helps since it will not show discoloration from the Vaseline easily.
Omg 😲 u should never use Vaseline on a leather bag 😱. If ur trying this method use the Cadillac leather conditioner instead. Good thing it’s a rather affordable bag she did it to. Imagine someone doing this to a Prada Saffiano Leather Bag 😱
Yeah, this video screams fake/trolling to me. You'll notice that the bag already looks more structured before she uses the blow dryer, or even before she applied the Vaseline. There is almost certainly a bag organizer in there. Petroleum jelly isn't a miracle ingredient, all you'd have is a greasy handbag. 😕
