Very helpful thank you for this. After this I realised my switch wasn't able to impart enough strength into the lever thing to push it that's why it has stopped. So now on a journey to find the answer to that. Thanks again for this
fantastic. you saved my day. I had issues with closing my recliner and your idea helped. my recliner did not go back to original position and I held the opening lever in open position and pushed it back and it closed. thanks.
Anyone having issues with the back not staying reclined? We bought a manual glider loveseat recliner, and the back of the chair won't stay reclined. Its too loose and there are no springs to hold it. It's just a hinge and it won't stay back. The footrest is fine but the back of the chair won't stay back once reclined. Not sure if it can be fixed. They should be springs on these.
Wow that was so easy. My recliner would not recline or close!! Thanks! You saved me from spending hundreds of dollars buying a new one. But one side of the footrest is crooked. How do I fix that?
Hi, 23 year old girl here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My friends boyfriend passed away in 2021 and he was the only person who knew how to get her recliner to work. She's sat on it probably most days since he passed and he hasn't been there to help her put her feet up at the end of a long day. Shes been letting me sleep on her couch for a week as I just broke up with my partner, this morning while shes sleeping in her room I've tried fixing her chair and having no luck. Watched your video and now she has a working chair after 18 months. Thank you :)))))) its the little things in life. thanks for sharing your time and the knowledge you probably spent hours figurung out !! (maybe it took you 5 minutes, it was going to take me months unless i found your video). thanks for sharing some humanity:))) sending you and your family love from Aotearoa(new zealand)
Sorry I am not aware of the solution . My 2 cents - You can flip the recliner upside down and check the good side of the recliner and see how it is working and try and fix the same way on the broken side
What if it sticks every time. Our lever is just too hard to open. Takes immense effort and aching fingers to get it open while sitting. Can't flip it upside down every time. Any ideas?
