Thank you for posting this video! I was ready to give it up and call someone then I found this. Putting all my weight on is what worked after trying the other 2 options. 🤗
Amazing, so glad to hear it worked out. Out of curiosity, which step worked for you? My daughter is excited to be helping so many people with this video 😊
@@jessedybenko8235 we first tried to bleed it with the screw driver for two minutes nothing. Then we pushed down on it and 🪄 magic it worked thanks again recommend to everyone follow your video!!!
Got a newly filled propane tank and the valve wasn’t working. Did the bleed off valve, as suggested for 30sec, that did the trick. You sir, saved my 4th of July cook out 🫡
I got one tried all three methods none worked maybe I'll try it in the morning. It was a tank delivery service so they'll be coming back out this week. And please practice safety when bleeding the valve you're letting gas out all over the place prior to lighting a grill.
My tank handle was stuck. PRV, oil and downward pressure wasn't working. Took a rubber mallet and gave it a few solid cracks (clockwise) and it came loose.
I couldn't get my valve open, but the bleed trick is going to enable me to dispose of the tank responsibly (or maybe reuse it - turn into a stove or something...)
If the valve handle is stuck open, most of this wouldn’t work, but you could still try putting all of your weight on the top of the handle and then twisting it to see if that will allow to close it
Can I spray WD-40 on the stem of the valve? Last time I barbequed I had a really difficult time opening the valve because I shut it off after every use, I had to use channel locks to open the valve because it was hurting my hand ✋🤕😫. Also how can I tell at what level of fullness my tank is? There's nothing more annoying than having the meat on the grill and running out of propane half way through and having to stop what I'm doing to go fill the tank back up again 😩. Thank you
I imagine you could spray the stem with WD-40. I’ve been told to avoid channel locks / wrenches for fear of breaking the valve off which is why manually pressing down on the valve handle to reduce friction may be preferable if it works. For determining how full your tank is, apparently pouring a glass of warm water down the side of your tank using this guy’s method can work. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2qQo5NZWG4U.html
