Hi guys, as you can see I have a hard time turning the key, that's if it does turn. Sometimes I can't even start the car nor turn it off so I decided to deal with the culprit decisively on this video, which I suspected to have been faulty.

Thank you for your help! I found using a right-angle adapter for my drill and a set of screw extractors worked much better than chiseling for getting out those horrible security bolts.

Those bolts are the worst thing ever, a dremel also works well to cut a groove on the bolt so you can get a screw driver on those bolts

Hi! I can’t turn my key to on to align with the hole. How did u do it?

Hey, when the key is stuck try to turn it by being gentle and soft for at least 4-5 times, then on the 6th try turn the key hard it will eventually turn.

You can, the difficult part is getting the security bolts out.

Did you just get all the broken parts out an it just started working again?

Yes, if you watch the full video I tested it at the end. Even right now my car key turns with the slightest of effort.

I’m stuck on getting the barrel out with the paper clip. It just won’t go down all the way and yes the key is turned.

Please try to get a longer thin and strong wire that can fit and push it down firmly, since it will be strong it won't bend and when it has reached a stop try pulling the barrel while pushing down the wire. It will come off.

@@OverideZA I just literally got it with a hair pin. I just had to wiggle it a bunch and yes it just popped right out. Thanks for the reply.

I tired tiny allen wrenches, bvut eventually it worked with a paper clip and some patience.
