How to fix an old Door Stopper 

I have the same problem. Searching for a solution now. Did you find anything that works?

there is a little piece of curved metal to fits between the base of the arm snd the backing plate, I just installed a new one and it keeps falling out, when it does the door stop falls down on its own. 😡 ive put it back in two or three times but keeps falling out.

Definitely, as long as the stopper makes a friction on the tiles 🙏
