Informative and helpful. But if it was me, I’d hose down the dirt and debris from the valves and pipes, before I open the valves. There were piles of dirt around the valves, that stayed on the valves even after replacing the valves.
Hi I try to replace the exact the same, my valve has a leak right below the handle and above the 6 bolts. Question. Should I buy whole module? Can't I just buy the black part you replaced?
Does it? It really depends on how far from the main manifold the valve is. If it's close, then it is a real pain to repipe. Plus, I'll bet my glue and cleaner are no longer usable and I'd have to make a special trip to get new.
Hi yes, I do know but, The vídeo is about replacing most of the parts of the valve not just the diaphragm. But, Thank you for commenting. Now people will know that they can only replace the diaphragm if they like to 👍🏼
It depends where your valve is leaking from. Mine was leaking from the pressure regulator valve stem. Rainbird doesn't sell a kit for that...you basically have to do exactly what he does in this video. Purchase a whole new valve and swap out the parts you need.
@@Irrigationplus That didn't work for me, though. I think I had screwed the solenoid down too tight (like they warn you not to do) and damaged the valve.
