OK unfortunately none of that worked for me. My CarPlay worked fine up until today. I got in my car. I plug my phone in. It did not connect but it’s charging my phone. It’s showing my car sink in the CarPlay settings but it’s not working on my car.
@@michellefashanu2935 I updated my iPhone to iOS 16 and CarPlay still doesn’t work. The “Allow” button will show up on my phone but then will immediately disappear and I cant select my car to connect CarPlay to. I’m so tired of this
My big problem is that CarPlay connects sometimes, not all the time. I use a currently bought iphone (2022), use the charging cable that came with it (and also tried other Apple cords). My iOS is the latest as of this writing, 15.6. I recently bought a Honda Pilot 2022. As stated, my Apple CarPlay works only sometimes. Other times, it cannot connect. This is very frustrating, and apparently is a known problem from my research on the internet. There doesn't seem to be an actual fix. And yes, I have tried the "Forget this car" option is iphone Settings-->CarPlay. It simply cannot connect reliably, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
Help! First my 2017 Honda Civic screen froze and thanks to you tube I was able to fix the fuse and it started working again. Now my new iPhone 14 with IOS 16.5 installed, I can’t get it to connect to CarPlay. I was told to disconnect my car from CarPlay setting on my phone and then reconnect, but now CarPlay setting is frozen with that circle going round and round. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have have an iPhone 13. It worked everytime in my Jeep Gladiator until last week. I tried different cords, I restarted the phone, I did a software update. The iPhone 13 will not work with carplay. I pulled out my old iPhone 8 plus and plugged it into the consol of my Jeep gladiator and voila! It works perfectly. Something is up with my iPhone 13.
It’s not as simple as that! On Tuesday my CarPlay ceased working. Just came from the dealership and couldn’t fix the issue. Four different phones were used in my car with my cable and they worked, except mine. I have an updated software, disconnected the CarPlay to reconnect and my car is not showing up in “available cars”… very frustrated about this… spent three hours at the dealership for nothing
Same thing for me today ! 4 hours and it didn’t work for my phone but for everyone else’s it worked. Stopped working all of a sudden 4 days ago and I tried 3 charges including an iPhone charger.
@@gracelayton9465 I got an app that would let me use a vpn free trail for a week or 2. Then it just went back to normal after that. I’m sorry if that sounds vague, but that’s what happened. I do feel it is an apple problem
I have a Jeep Gladiator. Carplay worked fine until a week ago. Everything you stated in this video I did and car play is still not working. This is frustrating.
My issue is I have the new iPhone 13 on iOS 15 everything works with CarPlay except I can’t play music as soon as I hit the play button for song CarPlay disconnects and then connects again but everything else works only time I can play music is over Bluetooth
My phone is up to date, I’m using a MFI certified cable, my phone is charging so I know it’s a secure connection. I see my Subaru in the CarPlay settings. All of the apps I use on CarPlay are updated. I’ve powered off the infotainment unit by holding the volume button down and then waiting 30 seconds before holding it down again to power it back up. Im stumped. The icon for my CarPlay is visible, but it’s sort of gray, and when I click on the icon it doesn’t respond. I’ve reached out to my car salesman for more troubleshooting advice. Is there anything else you’d suggest?
This describes my problem exactly. 2021 Subaru crossfit and IPhone 13. Carplay icon is there (but greyed), car and iPhone are up to date on updates and usb is charging the phone.
I think it's a problem with my iPhone, everything I did here was already done. And it happens to my parents phone as well. I have switched out the cable to the Mazda. So I think it very well may be the car, or maybe the USB port in the car isn't clean?
I have a similar issue. I recently got a Mazda 2022 cx5 and my phone was working just fine but all of a sudden the CarPlay was not working. I tried turning off my phone but nothing. I thought it was my car but my work phone connects just fine with no issues.
did you try going into your Bluetooth settings, go to your cars Bluetooth. In my case “Kia motors” and go into device type. When I checked it showed as no device type. So just tap on “ car stereo “ and the problem should be fixed.
I connect the iPhone with an original cable, the iPhone's software is updated and yet in the CARPLAY options I can not find my vehicle. What is the problem ?
I think this specific youtube creator, uploaded a specific video, that helped me a lot with a specific issue I had with carplay. hahaha kiddin' yo thanks a lot!
I bought a used 2020 Corolla SE and carplay will not work. I am using a brand new Apple usb cord; screen time is not enabled; Siri is turned on; software on my phone is up to date; car software is up to date; Corolla is not visible when I open CarPlay on my phone. I tried reconnecting and connecting cord a few times from both ends. Bluetooth works fine. Car says “searching iPod” when I plug in my iPhone 12. CarPlay works fine in my 2018 Honda Odyssey using same phone and cord.
Changed wires updated software on phone car recognizes the phone via wire and bluetooth but will not engage the Apple car play screen that lets me use maps, Spotify etc…
Hi. Brabs new iphone 14. The issue with car play, people can barely hear me on the phone using car play. Everything else works with music and nav. I can hear them, but they have a hard time hearing me.
Idk what’s happening it’s not my charger or car because my parents are able to connect to my car with carplay using the charger but I can’t. My iPhone 8 Plus supports carplay too idk what the issue is.
Hello That was helpful But i connect my bluetooth successfully and car play reads my car Then I press connect but it keeps looping and never connects What do you think about that?
How do I get it to connect automatically when I get in the car? My old phone used to do it no problem and other phones do it as well. Just got a replacement phone yesterday and it still doesn’t automatically connect
This may be late but I had the problem a few times after a IOS update. What has been consistent in working is going into your Bluetooth settings, go to your cars Bluetooth. In my case “Kia motors” and go into device type. When I checked it showed as no device type. So just tap on “ car stereo “ and the problem should be fixed.
I clicked never enable on on android auto with iPhone and now it won’t show up anymore for me only if my friends plug there phones in how do I fix this I want it back
For a Honda Pilot - I found it would not work (CARPLAY) when I have my IPOD plugged into the USB port in the Arm Rest USB port!!!!!!!!! Found after 5 hours of changing cords and settings! WHY, I don't know???????? I was not playing the IPOD. But because there was something plugged into another USB port the CARPLAY Port would not recognize the IPHONE!!!!!!!!!!!! No device connected!!!!!!!! This needs to be documented!!!!!!!
no help whatsover and way too wordy,....get to the point. Spent all that time saying check for updates when all he had to say was make sure you phone has the latest ios.
My iPhone 11 was reset. CarPlay was working before reset. Now it doesn’t. I went into CarPlay and forgot device. Car then shows I’m available cars and I select still doesn’t work. Car says I need to enable Siri. 1- is that true? I don’t like Siri and don’t want it active. 2- how do I enable Siri if it is true?
@@SimplxTayhmm try asking Siri for the option. Or maybe try deactivating it and activating Siri again. In my case I didn't have it iniatilly and when i activated it, it worked.
