I had been having a problem with my blower motor not working & no air or rear defogger.I had just about given up & was going to take our 2008 magnum to the dealer. My dear friend & neighbor said lets look on u tube university to see if anybody has experienced the same problem. After we watched your video we checked & the diode was in the wrong place just like yours. I changed the position of the diode & everything now works as it should.I can't thank you enough. that on thing probably saved me hundreds, if not thousands by not having to take it to a dealer
I pulled this thing out a couple weeks ago -.- that thing was responsible for my active suspension, seat belt light and blower motor problems. thanks a bunch, man.
You are a life saver. I havent had AC/heat in my car for about 2 years. I literally just pulled over to a rest area checked that same black diode or fuse and it was in backwards (I guess). BINGO!!! I have AC now in my 2008 Dodge Charger.. Thank you!!!!! May God bless you!!
I am a British owner of a Dodge Challenger R/T, this problem has been driving me crazy for months, the car even failed it's annual MOT (government safety insp req by law in U.K), because of the airbag light. I've been looking online endlessly for a solution but couldn't find one.....Then I found your video!! You Sir are a legend, and if I wasn't 1,000's of miles away, I'd buy you a beer, so here's a virtual one instead! 🍺 Thank you for saving my sanity!
This worked ! I just checked my fuse box & boom ! I automatically saw the fuse piece was loose !! I took it out and properly placed it back in ! Cranked her up , air bag light went off ALSO my ac unit that was completely not working at all works beautifully as if brand new !! Thank you so much again ! 2010 Charger 4D SXT
Jairan78 thanks man means alot. Everytime I see new activity on this video I think damn it's still helping people out. I think it's awsome so many people are finding this helpful
I can't thank you enough! My husband was messing with my fuses and did the exact same thing, I tried looking over and over for solutions and came across this video! You saved me sooooo much money!!!!
Just got my car back from three months in the shop from fixing another issue, (Service Parking Assist/Limp mode) , and this started to happen a week later. Saw your video yesterday and gave it a shot. Back to normal!!!! Thanks a million... Would have had to take it out in the woods if I had to take it back to the shop already. lol
THANKS DUDE!! This worked on my 05 Chrysler 300. I was in the back wiring up something a couple days ago, noticed the same thing, pulled it out to check it out and put it back in the wrong slot. Ever since that day my stuff hasn’t worked. Thought I was going to have to replace a blower motor. Then I came across this video, remembered that little fuse thing from the other day, put back in the right slot and fixed everything. You’re a life saver. Thank you
Bro you the man. Yup til this day this video is still helping people out! Your video took a big burden off my back. Went the whole summer and til this day 10 minutes ago with no ac/heat and wasn’t trying to bring to dealership!! I was ready to replace blower motor and fcm. Mad props to you sir!
Damn.... that was it! Dealership diagnosed for free while doing air bag recall. They said the problem was a bad clock spring. Wanted $500. I said no way... Came home, found your video and removed replaced black fuse and light goes out now... my fan works now too. A big THANK YOU!
hello from 2017, this post is still helping people. I was installing a new DVR dash cam and backup camera, and forgot I fiddled with that diode also. I did the same thing you did. thanks for the post man. Memory jogger saved me a major headache. You're the man!
Frank Marzullo most certainly welcome and yes I'm beside myself for the fact that in 2017 this video is helping people and getting the comments and likes and subscribes it's fantastic
So, my Challenger had the same problem. I had the black fuse type plug in both slots. I believe that symbol is for a diode. Anyway my diode terminals were very rusty. I wire brushed them until they were clean again and put on some vaseline. The blower works and airbag light is off. I would not have thought the 2 were tied together. Thanks for posting.
You're a genius bro for real! Good work man I had been all over the forums trying to resolve this issue for 4 days. The black one in my box was not pushed down all the way. Thank You brother >>>>sharing is caring
You are the first to post this and it was totally helpful. You saved me a week or agonizing over how I was going to figure this out without a mechanic and bam.....you nailed it. I did the same fricken thing only I needed you to tell me I placed that weird one in the wrong spot or I would have never figured it out....thank you
THANK YOU been trying to fix for months. Went out after I played with fuses and I literally just now fixed it while watching ur vid. I have an 06 300. Bro I live in Florida and it’s hot as balls and I have a 2 year old you just saved my ass
Evan Sue that is humbling as hell thanks for your feed back. I can’t believe this video is still helping hundreds in this issue. Tell the baby your welcome very much lol. Have a great one I’m honored to help out in your time of need!!!!
DUDE you helped me so much. I bought this car and it had the issue. The airbag light is still on but dude the AC works now and now the heater wow. I am amazed thank you very much
Thanks for the video. Ive been having the same issue on my Challenger... found an online rabbit hole and changed that Diode. It temporaryily fixed my problem. I really gotta clean the contacts in there because removing/installing it a few times and it fixed the issue again. Just remember to make sure the arrow on the diode is going the right way! (Pointing to the driver side). Thanks again.
Holy shit dude, I had the exact same issue. This video fixed my problem. I was thinking no way it's just a simple fuse. I watched your video and that exact same ground fuse was loose, I pushed it back in and all is good now. I have way too much crap in my trunk. I owe you one Thanks
thanks for this information i just fixed my chrysler 300 for the same problem i had the air bag light turned on and not air conditioning for 2 years,I left the black fuse in place but in the empty space I put a 20 volt fuse and it works fine
THANK YOU I WENT ALL SUMMER WITHOUT AIR AND TODAY I SAW YOUR VIDEO BECAUSE I REPLACED MY BLOWER RESISTOR IN FEB, AND I THOUGHT IT WAS THAT AGAIN AND I WENT TO REPLACE IT AGAIN AND THAT DIDNT WORK AND I SAW YOUR VIDEO AND I KNEW EXACTLY WHAT FUSE IT WAS AND I THOUGHT IT WAS AN EXTRA AND PUT IT IN ANY PLACE WENT TO PUT IT IN AND STARTED THE CAR AND I GOT HEAT!!!!! FOR WEEKS I HAD A SWEEGE IN THE CAR TELLING MY KIDS TO PUT THEIR HANDS OVER THEIR MOUTHS WHILE WE DRIVE LOL BUT AGAIN THANKS FOR THE VIDEO I KNOW IF I WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT TO SOMEONES SHOP THEY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN OVER ON ME!
Good shit my dude 💪🏽💯 I got two 12 inch subwoofers in my trunk and I guess all the vibration knock it loose. I put it back into it’s slot and it’s back working again. You a GOD....hands down 🤟🏽
Thank you so much!! I purchased a new a.c. controller to fix the problem. I still would have been frustrated if I had not accidently saw your video! I'm installing the new controller anyway because most of the lighting is done in the old one. You're awesome dude!!
Thank you for your knowledge, I am a die hard mopar man, as my paw paw. Dodge stickin root to folks over these minor problems. Still love my Dodges....
You are my #mcm. No AC in Florida fall was getting rough. THANK YOU FOR THIS. Works perfectly on a 2010 Challenger RT after you messed with fuses you shouldn’t have.
Appreciate your video. I was pulling fuses to look for a blown out fuse. I did the same thing and pulled the airbag one and failed to put it back in the proper place.
Thanks man, some mechanic told me it was going to cost me 1,200$ and he was a rip off mechanic and I knew he purposely messed it up because he was to detailed of what was wrong, because it worked fine before. That's why I do my own mechanic. Again thanks man.
I can't believe this video is still helping hundreds of people I'm in complete awe of it. Thanks for all the comments and support on this guys y'all are awsome. Happy holidays to you all!!!!
Good catch Brett! I pulled that coupling to see if it would reset my radio, re-inserted it backwards and got the airbag warning light. I was ready to hit the dealership for a scan before I came across your vid. Thanks for your help in the Mopar community.
Great job... I would have never chkd that fuse because my manual says that fuse is not used... That one was blown in mine... I have air now... Great job
Ynot TB thanks man means a lot looks like this video is still going strong for dodge owners. I’m pleased to see such fees back from you guys. Awesome!!!!
Wow! Thank you so much for posting this video. I definitely did the same thing and was going crazy trying to figure it out. fixed my problem in a matter of seconds. Thank you!
bro im so excited because I threw that fake looking fuse to the side somewhere thinking it was a peice of plastic crap Bout to go find it thanks bro!!!!
Broooooo... I've been searching all day for a solution to this problem to no avail and boom, ran across this.. Great help man.. subscribed and liked ..
Thank you SOOO MUCH! I had the exact same problem for almost a year. Had to store my charger over the winter because the climate control had no signs of life. Idk if abyone has clarified, but that black fuse is not a fuse at all, but it's called a diode. It allows electricity to flow in one direction only, hence the arrow in its symbol. That's how they show up in wiring diagrams. IDK who the fuck was playing around in my rear fuse box, but i am SOOO hlad you posted this vidro. Thank you.
Ciolouvnl Tamt I have found that mechanics and dealerships do this knowing you won’t find the issue so you bring it back and spend tons of money trying to fix it when they know the issue all along. Hence most dealer and mechanics create their own issues with you vehicle to keep business flowing. And return fixes. Just saying.
Justed wanted to say thanks man for this video because no where in the manual fuse box or any other shit does it say anything about that lil black fuse with a funny symbol I did same thing checking fuses for another and just stuck where I thought it went again thank you very very much
This worked without a hitch on my 2010 Charger SXT.. Had to reset a fuse to my lights, and I saw that black "fuse" thinking it was just a jumper and I put it in that back notch like you showed and I couldn't figure out the problem all day.. who would have known! Thanks
I believe this is a method of dealerships and service repair shops even oil change places to get reoccurring service done. I believe this is one of MANY methods used. Fortunately I found this but as well all know this certainty isn’t the only one.
This fixed my light for my airbag but my fan blower still isn't working. Been trying to figure it out for a long time now. Replaced the blower motor and the resistor, not sure where to go from here. A/C and Defrosters work until I try to turn the blower on and then everything kicks off.
thanks for your help that turned out to be one of the problems! I replaced Battery then Starter and new starter got her running again but still have airbag light on and oh the AC is now blowing but where? i hear it but dont feel it and the switches on the dash one for AC it as well defroster light are not lighting up what am i missing now?
Steve Duncan The lights on AC tend to be an issue for these models. mine on the left side doesn't come on sometimes or just goes out unless I tap on the radio a few time and boom it comes on. wiring in these dodges are just poor plus if previous owner installed a stereo system chances are a lot of the electronic wiring or fuse are jacked up witch is the issue in my case. but fixed almost all of it.
Man I have to ask you how can I begun to say thank you. I have been having this problem for months, I was having the airbag light on and NO air or heat. Did what you suggested the lights went off for the airbag but right now there is still no air blower work in which I think it might be a problem with the blower because as I sit in the quite and I notice that when I press the ac button it lights up now which let's me know that there is power on the switch at first it wouldn't light up, but as I sit in the quite and turns the ac over to heat I hear a tick letting me now that its rotating over to heat. So I'm going to try a few things out with the blower and go from there. Again thanks soooooo much
OCTOBER 21st 2023 I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING THREW SO MANY VIDEOS I CHANGED MY BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR CLIMAX CONTROL PANEL NOTHING WORKED I CAME ACROSS THIS VIDEO AND JUST LIKE THAT MY AIRBAG LIGHT WENT OFF AND MY HEAT STARTED WORKING AMEN
Thank all of you for your support I am so glad this helped at least one person more than one is a plus and just awesome. I got quoted $500+ to fix this issue I said no I'll figure it out my self they were going to replace the whole fuse system. Me being in the technical field with GEEK SQUAD i rather look into it myself. Plus no one online had figured this out so I stuck to it till I found a solution. I saved myself and all of you $500+ this feels great please spread the word as I know many more have given up on a solution THANKS GUYS!!!
