prevenire i problemi, cioè riporre il pad in modo da nn permettere che entri polvere usa un sacchetto ermetico tipo per conservare cibo ed il controller nn avrà problemi problemi ok
This might be a little late, but thank you so much! I was considering buying a new controller because my triangle button wasn't working, but you saved me $70. Thanks!
This video was extremely helpful! My "X" button wasn't bouncing back when I pressed it so I knew it must've been an internal problem, but until now I haven't had to open my controller AT ALL. The step by step was very much needed and appreciated. It turned out the piece of rubber padding behind my x button had popped out, so after using the link in your description, I've ordered a new one and I'm currently replacing it(I came back to make sure I'm disassembling the controller correctly again). Thanks much, friend.
@@gerdsfargen6687 all you have to do to reconnect it after using it via bluetooth is shut ur ps5 or ps4 off and restart it and connect the controller charger to the console and turn it on
This just happened to me I accidentally scratched the conductive film keypad trying to fix stick driftp I'll probably have to buy a new one but they are expensive as he'll even though it's a ps4 controller and not a ps5
Thanks bro! The square button on my controller lost sensitivity and I had to push it hard in order to work. I ended up using the Solution 5 and after dissasembling, cleaning and putting everything back together my button now works normally. Thanks for the video!
i've tried cleaning all the rubber pieces. inspecting for cracks. but i still cant get x, triangle, circle, square, and the right arrow on the d pad to do anything! I don't even know if R/L 1/2 work because i cant get past the account selection screen.
I had 2 broken controllers, X buttons did not work at all or other controller had to push hard. Open both of them and clean em. That did the trick for me 👍 It was pretty easy and now i have 2 working controllers again. Thank you very much!
thank you so much dude my triangle button was stuck and would not bounce back and that was a brand-new controller I bought and the first time I pressed it got stuck you definitely got a sub and my respect from this video thanks bro!
Took me forever to open the two halves because I was scared of breaking something lol. But I cleaned all the stuff and my X button started working again. Thanks a lot! 👍🏾
Swapped it out with one of my brothers baby mamas controllers they didn’t used brought mine up one time left It then one day me n my bro fight so I ask for my stuff back but certain got a jank controller back took care of that lil issue 😂
Not helpful you didnt even show how to replace the film now my ps4 controller is not turning on, my touchpad is broken AND my motors cable disconnected😐 i do not reccomend this guy😐
Not helpful? What about the other viewers in the comments that say it was? At 3:22 I gave a warning that the procedure has risks. I gave a LOT of detail along the way to reduce that risk. As for the motor wires, a simple solder can fix it back. I'm not sure how the touchpad can be broken using the video, but it's replaceable; maybe buy a broken dualshock to get the part from. As for the film, it just goes back on the way it is taken off.
bro iswtg the og dualshock never broke for me, after i got a new controller after losing the first one i had since getting the PS4, it broke down in a year😭
thank you so much !!!! my x square triangle AND circle buttons were not working anymore. It works fine now, I had to replace the conductive film. Thanks to you, it was as easy as a lego !
the rubber thingy behind my X button had ripped so the button was stuck, opened it up and flipped the rubber thingamabob around, now X works and I have no triangle, but X is more important to me, thumbs up on the video
hey, umm, i THINK i have a fake controller, the battery pack is blue (for some reason) and it won't come out, its like fused to the plastic thingy under it
Thanks so much for this video, the straw blowing technique got my button right. I used a plastic straw and pinched the tip flat so it was wedged in the crease of the button.
this video would successfully help me .. if it wasn’t for my controller having a whole different looking battery and is glued DOWN. 3rd controller to be broken, wow
My rubber pad was broken. I attempted to super glue it in place but I don't think it's worth trying because it's eventually going to fall back out so I ordered the replacement.
I did everything in the video but my circle , triangle, and x buttons still don’t work, but my square one does. Before i looked up how to fix it i was cleaning it because i let one of my friends use it for a couple months, but while i was cleaning it i dropped it and the blue light flickered on and off a couple times but it turned back on and when it did everything else worked except for those three buttons. I did everything in the video aswell. Is my controller broken and if so is there a way to fix it or do i have to just buy a new one?
Does anyone know how to fix the buttons because on the PlayStation screen the shapes work but when I get to the loading screen to load in a game and it says press x it won’t work
Ahhhh Thank you so much, because of you I was able to replace the rubber padding for R1 and X. It was worm out after playing so much dark souls and J-RPG by mashing dialogs and attacking things in dark souls XD The only problem is that the light is now green instead of the white/blue but it isn't a problem I guess, controller still works fine. PS: It is a Data Frog controller that I brough on Aliexpress so it is not PS4 original.
I took apart the controller and put it back now but when I press the X button it now’s seems like the O button also registers at the same time, might have to go back and take a look again
Very helpful video, Thanks! Also, what I found is that if the rubber pad contacts are worn, since it's symmetric you can try rotating it until you find a orientation where all face buttons work and feels right, at least as a quick fix until you can get the replacement parts.
Cheers dude massive help ✌️🙂 left my apartment for the weekend took my playstation with me and the controller stopped working gave the cardboard from my rollie papers and it works excellent now I can play and watch hogwarts legacy 🤘😁
My R2 button is working without touching it and I cleaned it and also changed the pad under it but it didn't work. I'm wondering what to do. If I change that film will that fix it?
Great video , very detailed. One thing tho, you advised to leave the battery connected and right afterwards you shove a (metal) butterknife underneath the battery holder! The battery was removed when you did but you didn't mention that. I'd recommend to ALWAYS remove the battery (carefully of course) to avoid short-circuiting the main board.
I have dualshock 4 with a non working r1 shoulder button and tried to clean the contacts as well as the pin connctor at 12:57, I don’t know if it the contact pins should be cleaned and just the buttons only. After I cleaned it is still not working, will replacing it with the right film work?
i used a toothpick to scrape it before i saw this video, and a piece came off and is now stuck in there, it still. works but its stiff and weird to click
Great video mate. Still not sure why my X button is not working. I took it apart and cleaned it with alcohol. What should I replace to get it functioning again? maybe that conductive sleeve?
