A neighbor of mine had the same problem. He couldn't figure it out, so he recycled it. I retrieved the earphones for him and resolved the issue with your great advice. I returned the redmi earbuds basic 2 to him! Now he's so happy that he bought me a new pair as a gift! Thanks :)

I already memorized the steps. Because it is so simple. But when I do it myself, it doesn't work, but when I do it while I watch this video, it works. I'm not even kidding, this always happens. Anybody out there is also experiencing this "supernatural" thing. I'm serious.
I know this is an older comment but YES I have the same problem. I can watch and they work, if I do the exact same steps on my own they NEVER connect. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Lol
I've been having trouble with my first set of Xiaomis for a couple of weeks. I have 3 pairs total, two basic2 and one basic2S. I love these. Left earbud stopped working. I reset, but I could only pair either the left by itself or right by itself. This vid finally helped me connect them together and work again! Thanks for the help
This is why I hate wireless earbuds, call me old fashioned but wired earbuds come right out the box working as intended, meanwhile wireless come right out the box with issues and problems that the manual doesn't bother explaining very thoroughly. Waste of time and money.

Thank you for taking the time to post this fix. I’d been attempting a hard reset for several days without success but after watching your video I noticed you held the earbuds closely together - almost touching. I’d been holding one in each hand, a few inches apart, with no success. Brought them closer together and it worked. Thanks mate. 👍🏻

bro u really saved my life. other videos said to hold it until light flashes red and white but i didnt know that u had to wait till it blinks twice. i really didnt want to use lose this since its my only buds with strong bass quality thanks again my guy
Scall Candy! Works now! Turned BT off, pressed both for 3 seconds, both lights started flashing red/blue. Turned BT on, paired fine and both buds are working! Thx man.

MY GOD! You have no idea how much this brings joy to me. Mine is a different model and brand but this trick still worked perfectly! I've been distraught this whole month having to use the earbuds just each side at a time. And the earbuds are important to my daily life too. I almost bought a new one! I have the same earpods as the one in the video and had the same problem due to my habit of only using one earpod and leaving the other one in the case hence it disconnected with each other lol. But now it's fixed thanks to you, so thank you so much for the brief and understandable explanation! Para los que tienen el problema de que le suena solo uno, yo lo arregle así.... el error esta en que aparecen 2 dispositivos en bluetooth tat2205 cuando debería ser solo uno.... desvinculé ambas conexiones tat2205, y apagué el bluetooth. Luego apagué los audífonos, dejándolos pulsados 3 segundos. Los metí en su cajita de cargar.... estando adentro empiezan a brillar de blanco suavemente, señalando que se están cargando. Luego los resetee así: pulsé ambos botones de los auriculares al mismo tiempo por 5 segundos.... encendió la luz AZUL 3 VECES en ambos audífonos y retornaron ambos a la luz blanca que va y viene señalando que ya se han reseteado y que ahora volvieron a continuar cargandose. Ahora saco ambos auriculares y espero que prendan las luces indicando que se encendieron y luego aquí es donde está el truco: yo no se que hice, yo solo se que empecé a tocar ambos botones a lo loco como por 10 segundos... algunos toques a uno, algunos toques al otro, y hasta toques al mismo tiempo a lo loco, sin sentido (recuerdo apenas que pulse 3 veces uno y luego 3 veces el otro y luego empecé a tocar como loco o algo asi).... el punto es que un auricular comenzó a brillar muy rápido luz blanca y azul... mientras que el otro se quedó encendiendo y apagando intermitente pero solo la luz azul y algo más lento.... allí entendí que yá los había sincronizado.... y lo confirmé porque cuando prendí el bluetooth ya no me aparecían duplicados los tat 2205 aparecía solo uno!.. Eso fue lo que hice y me solucionó. Disculpen si no fui claro quise compartirlo porque hay muchos tirando los auriculares, y yo ya casi los tiraba porque intenté de todo... si cuando empiezan a pulsar los botones como locos no les funciona, repitan el procedimiento: apaguenlos, vuelvanlos a meter, reseteenlos de nuevo, vuelvan a sacarlos y pulsen los botones como loco por maximo 10 segundos (a mi me funciono al primer intento y a los 3 segundos aproximadamente, muy rápido) y así sucesivamente hasta que lo logren. No se exactamente que botones pulsar ni como porque como entenderán se me dañaron una sola vez y los arreglé y ya ahora no se como "desarreglarlos" para volver a intentar y ver con claridad que es lo que hay que pulsar. Pero algo es algo! ojalá alguien me hubiera dicho al menos esto y no hubiera dado tantas vueltas!! Suerte

I had this problem with earbuds from a different manufacturer, but this was the fix I did not think to do. Mine do not have on-off buttons, but if I hold the earbuds for a few seconds they turn off or on. Thank you for the tip.
