How to Fix ERROR 7: Motor Failure on ZERO Scooter

Heres a tutorial on how to fix QS-S4 LCD Display ERROR 7 on the ZERO scooter. ERROR indicates a motor failure and there could be many causes for it. It could be a broken wire outside the motor or inside the motor. It could be a burnt hall sensor or a burnt hall sensor wire. To narrow down the possibilities, we first identify of the hall sensor wires are ok as they are the main current load carrying wires.

I have this error 7 with yanked out motor wire. Did change all halls, checks wires, but error is the same even with totally new motor wheels.

This might be the problem I have for my Gyrocopters plaid because every thing works normally when I turn on zero start and push the throttle the motor goes for a sec then e16 pops up on the screen and motor hall anomaly keeps popping up on the app but I don’t have the right tools to open up the motor to check

Solution: Hiboy scooter Error 7 means the Hall Sensor problem. Usually we have 3 (or 4) Hall sensors in the electric wheel, and 1 in the Speed Accelerator button and 1 in the Stop button on the steering wheel. The problem can be related to the Hall sensor or the wires to the Hall sensor (more often). In my case my wires from the Speed accelerator button were damadged and I had the Error 7. Usualy you can easely check the Hall sensor with minimum efforts. You can try to find video on the youtube. And initialy check the speed and stop buttons wires visualy ;). I hope it can help.

Hi I recently had my charger port blown out(fire) im wondering if I replace the port myself will it sort out the issue or nah? because since it burnt out the scooter does not turn on anymore.. So is that an issue with the port or do I need to send it off for repair/replacement?

Well in my example I was a moron and i touched the charging port with metal pliers and it shorted out my zero 9 but when you unplug and plug back in the wires where the battery is located it should turn on fine... I also replaced the charging port cause it was useless after that.

Hi, question: for my scooter, the motor won't turn smoothly, it is as if something is restricing it. I opened the same way as yours but there is no burning smell or parts fallen appart. The scooter was working fine until I rode it a few minutes on rubble (it was a rough surface) it then just lost power. It's turning on and off, battery indicator is working and when I press the electric brake it restricts the back wheel even more. It's just the acceleration is not working. Please advice:(

I have the same problem my motor wont turn smooth . it is just like something block it . I also open it but nothing to see . I already order 2 motors from zero 10x becouse the original models are shit . upgraded motor type 3 is much better . now I only hope that my controller is not damage becouse off the stuck weel .....

Hi! I just realised your middle sensor in red, the 2 others in blue, so the middle one may not be the same... I replaced it, and still have Error E07... Could you give me all three sensors Part Number please...?

Sorry we don’t have it, your throttle has a hall sensor too try to change your throttle

The rear cable also becomes very hot and wheel jams... Some hub motor have a different hall sensor in the middle than the 1st and 3rd.. I think it's the case for the Zero 10X 48V 1000W hub motor, and I must have installed the wrong one..

I have a LH-100 display with a 1000 watt 48 volt motor. But it gives me error 7 with and without hall sensor connected. I checked from loose wires but couldn't find one. It runs very bad til im at 20 km/h than i can go full throttle without problems to max speed. If i do to much throttle before i reach 20 km/h it goes crazy and stops (breaks with shocks) and i can re-throttle and it'll work. But if i give to much gass it will kick out again. This is only before i reach 20km/h Anyone knows a solution? Please help.....

Your phase wires may have a problem. You can check your phase wires using this video.

Why you need to cut open all wires).Just open motor and fix the problem even all cables are connected to controller..is that possible?iv got error 7,but when I restart the scooter it disappeared and working properly...One's i get completely black out,no power suddenly. He doesn't even charge. But after 10 minutes, he just run again, without problems. Do you know what's happening????

I've had the same problem for over a year on the same scooter, attempted to find the problem once before and took the scooter apart, but didn't have the melted solder issue like these guys, don't know what it is, might try looking again and getting a multimeter to test each hall sensor as maybe one needs replacing in comparison to resoldering

My kugoo s1 pro has a m error light on ( I assume it stands for motor) it works then randomly stops accelerating to continue accelerating you have to let go of the throttle and press again for it to accelerate could u help me resolve this issue

Best to ask your seller. Every scooter has different error codes and fault codes

The controllers may have to be replaced. Happened to my wolf king yesterday. The scooter is so powerful so the issue of it moving on its own full blast when it’s on is so dangerous.

It’s not a big issue. Error 0 just turn off and on and it’ll go away

I just spent $1429 to repair my Wolf warrior x and when They shipped it back to me the display has read error 07 ever since I turned it on after receiving... Seems like after spending $1429 to have it repaired I shouldn't have to deal with this problem !!! Wtf?

It’s a simple connection issue. Just make sure your motor connection is plugged in properly

I took my zero 9 to a place and the guy put a multimeter on the chaging hole and something exploded. Now It doesnt start. What could it be?

He must have shorted it by accident. It’s not a big problem. You just need to open up the deck and unplug and plug in the yellow battery connector. It should work again. But the charging port may be burnt and you may need to change the charging port

Thank you. I am currently stranded out 6 miles from home. And I ran into this error. I had some issues with my intertube. I replaced the tire and intertube, but it's so hard to get the tire back on the rim that I ended up putting a hole in the new tube. And I did the same thing again. Then .... I was running into the store to grab a 12" bicycle tube. I came back out to find this error e-007. Then it went back to normal as no error while I was fixing it. Then when I had everything back together, it went randomly error 7 and normal and error 7 then finally got stuck on the error.

Zero 9 with remote immobilizer activated. Everything was working fine for several months but now at 4:30am i was awaken with beeping + locked sounds , throttle shows E 06. Whats this please help? I need to go to work in 30 mins :(
