Yeah, you could do all or this, or... Bethesda could just, idk, take more time to fix their games so people can spend more time playing them instead of worrying about crashes 24/7

I was crashing constantly and couldn't even leave vault 101. Got MSI working and I was able to crank up my graphical settings, for some reason my GPU fan wasn't really working while playing FO4 unlike other games. Thank you very much for the tutorial, much appreciated.
This helped heaps, I have an old AMD 480 and forgot about the fans, not heard them in ages. Had to use different setting for the fan curve or they would be always on 80% or so I tweaked it the way I want not crashed since.
@@antoniocabraja I've heard that argument 1 million times, either someone says there is no such thing as cpu drivers or it would be pointless. One if you search on Google "intel cpu driver" you will find the software necessary. So at the end of the day thats the general term for it. Lastly updating the drivers has fixed my issues multiple times.
what did the devs do to break the game because all i did was get a new video card and reinstall the game after 430 hours and it crashs after it didn;t i'm installing the newest driver and hopefully that works

Thanks a lot! Worked for me sep. 2021. Game kept crashing all the time. I found out anti-aliasing was the reason my game kept crashing but i didnt want to play at Fxaa Low because the game was running smoothly, so im glad i found this video :) I think it was as you said because gpu went over 80 celsius. I installed asus gpu tweak II for my 2060 and installed drivers from the website. Haven't had a crash yet and im running the same settings as when the game kept crashing :)
Same here just reinstalled this game and I’ve completed had forgotten how bad the crashes can be lol. Asus GPU tweak is just as good as the MSI one but the newer one has so many new stuff
for me it was turning off the weapon debris in the launcher or ini files. There is also a mod that let objects flying around after shooting the ground and with no crash to desktop drama 😉
Grade a bullshit, not wonder my new computer couldn't play this game, I thought my mods or my saves fucked it up. I Uninstaller all mods, fresh installed still crashed. Turns out it was this one dumb ass fucking settings that conflicts with RTX cards.
I didn't have the temp crash so I did everything else and it worked like a charm. After launch I bumped my settings back up and it's all good again. Thanks for the help.

Nice vid. Got me to update all my drivers even though that wasn't the cause of my crashes. I crash when I try to fast travel or approach one of my SIM Settlements. I've identified Armor and Weapon keywords Community Resource (AWKCR) as the culprit. But sooooo many of my mods depend on this. By disabling this mod along I can now fast travel to all of my SIM settlements save 1 (Sanctuary). Nothing I do allows me to go to Sancturary including disabling ALL the mods, reinstalling Fallout 4, following countless forum posts and youtube videos. Even new games with all mods disabled produces CTD. My PC is new. Ryzen 9, RTX 2060 Super, 32 Gb of Ram. Even on the lowest video settings it still crashes. I've lost all hope. FO4 is broken for me. :(
If it doesn't Detect your graphics card which is going to tell you when you open the game press the setting to ultra and then adjust them for a 1660 and lower put everything to low for 1660 ti you can put some settings to medium its not that heavy game it can play on 6 gb ram its just badly optimized but its a beautiful gane with all the graphics on low as well
i deleted those white paper logo file on the data folder on fallout 4 hoping to erase all my plugins on vortex mod manager then after that everytime i try to open my fallout 4 it just suddenly crashes.
I’m not sure why but setting the app to windows 7 compatibility seemed to work so far. Thank you I can finally complete the game after upgrading 3080ti
Still not working, 1 day I was messing with its in game mods when it crashes on me, but now when ever I try to lunch the actual game it only shows a black screen then it closes.
After i opened the files and clicked compatibility with windows 7 on Fallout 4 plus the launcher file it said "Fallout 4 will now detect your GPU and adjust settings accordingly" then it said "Video hardware not detected, settings turned to low" i have a 3070 is this normal? I have a gtx 1050ti, i get crashes on low settings. (It dont crash but doesnt load when on load screens, usually going to any area that connects to the commonwealth or financial district) any advice? I got everything else done right.... lowest settings.
I have a GT 3070ti and intel I9 12th gen. I cant even pull up the game and several others for some reason off steam using my oculus quest 2. Soon as I hit play, it looks like somthin wants to pop up and then goes away and then nothing. Then the play button lights up again. Any ideas?
I gotta 2080 Super in my PC, GPU is not issue for me yet the game still crashes at the start every single time at the exact same spot, it's driving me nuts. 5 years later and this game still has issues.
All my game dose every 10 minutes is crash. Try to save? Crash, try fast traveling? Crash, try waiting for longer than 10 hrs? Crash, try even doing anything? Crash within about 10-15 minutes
I play this on windows 10, on a g7 15 laptop, And the weird thing is, when I click play on the startup, it doesn't take me to the game, it stays on steam, But the worst part is that the cursor can't move its stuck on the middle of the screen, and when I tried to click stop playing it doesn't let me, because the cursor keeps getting pulled back to the middle. The other thing is that the music still going on. Here's some things that puzzle me tho. ● I still have plenty of available space ● all my drivers are not outdated, since I allways make sure update them ● And I only have 4 games, And there's also no sings of a virus, How can this happen if my pc is on perfect shape? The biggest problen is that when I have this issue i have to force shut, since my cursor gets pulled back within the radius of the middle of the screen. If I try to the mouse any further, the cursor gets pulled back. And force shutting causes many problems. Any help or advice would be great 👍
Tip: Restart your pc after doing this and it should work then, if it still doesn’t work then try reinstalling it and if that doesn’t work then refund the game

You did your best, even though my copy of Fallout 4 still crashes to loading screen even with your recommended setting advice. I’m just gonna delete FO4 off my Steam account than keep putting up with the same BS every time. It just isn’t me to play that same game at the low settings even with lots of mods installed on my new laptop. At least I still have FO4 on my PS4 even I have to make configurations to it as well.

I was downloading some CC content today and got annoyed at how long it was taking, so I closed FO4, cleared my download cache in Steam, and tried to launch again. Now FO4 crashes within 2 seconds of launching. I've literally tried everything in this video + other sites, and I cannot figure out the issue. I'm about to reinstall, which is super annoying because I have a lot of CC content I like to use, all of which will need to be re-downloaded and installed (which, again, is the original pain which started this whole issue). Plus, I don't know which mods I have installed, so I'll need to search those all up again. So frustrating, and so unexplainable.
Appreciate the attempt to help us although it didn't work for me I now have an over clocking tool for when I get a new graphics card. I am sadly forced to do yet another clean install of Fallout 4. All because I wanted mods 🤷♂️
Won’t allow me to adjust fan speed, even when i ran as admin( just bought my 1st laptop msi gf65 9sd) the game just sends me back to the desktop after 3-5 minutes
i just get random crashes in the begining of the game it just crashes, no report nothing... and i run a 7700X with a RTX4070 and 36GB DDR5 6000mhz RAM it is just weird to me i first thougt maybe i fucked it up with mods and i dissabled everything still crashes... lowerd even the settings from Ultra to high (which shouldn't realy be the case with my Rig) and it still crashes.... will do the run admin and comptibility mode tomorrow to see if that fixed anything
Anyone seeing this now, I have sorted through various problems, and the ONLY real problem is with rtx/gtx users who crash a few minutes into the game, is due to the gun debris setting, lower that and you should be able to keep your settings relatively max.
I have a gtx 1660 super just reinstalled and I’m getting the same problem thank god I managed to save before it happens lol. I do remember having to do the whole GPU fan curve thing but not the turning down the settings since my game ran fine even with that 1660 super

i got the game recently and can't even pass the first menu {the one with the close up power armor helmet}, it approximatively take 8 second of chargement before closing the game by itself P.S: i already played the game for a week {approximatively} before getting that crash

If the game is crashing near the bridge when you're going to the vault try going to the advanced graphics settings and turning off 'Weapon Debris' that did it for me.

My God man, I downloaded the MSI afterburn program and it's a bitch to deal with I STILL can't figure out how it works, it doesn't let me click anything but the settings. How do you use this thing?!?!
@@lavalord96 Yeah, it won't let me do anything with the fan either, I guess because laptop video card or something. Don't know if it's the problem anyway since I've got the BEX64 error that's supposed to be about C++ Visual but nothing else has worked, so figured I'd try it.
My game crashes on fast travel about 10 seconds into the load screen every. single. time. It doesn't matter where i travel to or if i load an older save. I'm 35 hours in and it just started happening. I hate to say it but none of these fixes worked for me. The game runs fine otherwise, but i don't have the time or patience to just walk everywhere, especially since the red rocket truckstop is my primary base of operations. Time to enlist reddit's help :(
I've never added any mods to the game, I've gave both launchers administrative access, I've used the comparability mode, I've verified the files through steam, I've got the X3D working and installed, I have the best minimum specs for my PC, I bought the game off steam, I downloaded it twice And yet The game refuses to even load No error message or anything It just commits suicide before I got to do anything on the game Never once have I went past that menu you see before you launch the game
Now for some Reason I can't control the fans I"m on a laptop so is that a issue or. Am I doing something wrong in the Msi settings it just doesn't show the option fans
Maybe the program is not being ran via admin correctly, or something is preventing you from selecting that option... maybe a 3rd party program is blocking access 🤔
The first thing you can try is to completely bypass those areas for maybe two quests and try again. I'm not too sure what you can do on Xbox other than a factory reset and reinstalling the game.
I'm on xbox one and can't do anything near goodneighbor without the game crashing. Clear cache, hard reset, and reinstalling multiple times hasn't fixed it.
The game is completely broken on Xbox one its literally a hit or miss im not even joking lol. Either it works or it doesn't, some people get lucky, some don't.
