My Cluster was replaced in my 2002 Chevy Tahoe and the trip history kept resetting to zero every time the car was turned off.
To fix:
Put the ignition in run position and press trip bottom 5 times and hold it for 30 seconds. That fixed mine. Hopefully it helps you. Leave a comment if so.
Sure if will work for Yukon and Silverado etc
