How to fix GTA IV Release Date Check Failed [Easy]

Wow. This is the same video I watched 7 years ago. I came to watch it again and it worked and I was about to give the video a thumbs up but realized I already had.

I googled for a solution, first two videos had similar title, yet one was 13 mins long, other 1 min long. The 1 min long was this one. I love people like you. People who don't spend 9/10 of the time talking about when, what and why.

OMG this actually worked. I remember when I was a kid and my dad tried to Dowland original GTA 4 that he bought. It didn't worked so he get mad and installed pirated version. After years of laying on bookshelf I took the game, but I failed to install it just like my father. Then again years later I decided to try again this time with knowledge of English and this turns out to be this easy. Useful tip: the code from GTA 4 manual works as unlock code in new rockstar game launcher and you can use it to unlock GTA 4 with all DLC digital version.

Amazing tip.. thanks I think it's to do with EA games. I had the same issue with Alice madness returns on PC. I installed it today but had the same issue. I did the following and it worked. 1 Install the game and restart the laptop. 2 change the date to 2014 as per your video and untick the auto date adjusts. 3 Create an account on EA and redeem the code that came with the DVD. 4 Insert CD and verify my EA account by logging in. and the game started to work. thank you for your video x

I just changed the year to 2013 and it worked in the first time. They should do a new patch or something where you don't need to use Games for Windows AT ALL

i did it, it worked, but the game wont start. WHen i launch it, then it instantly says- the program has stopped working. It start searching solution for the thing, and then i close the program... It feels like, this tutorial is supposed to screw up something :( I payed money for this cd ;(
