Taking a snap shot worked for me. My iPhone memory was full so I deleted a picture, took another one and Windows was able to find it. Never would have thought of that. Too bad I didn't watch this video an hour earlier. Thanks!

These tutorials are fake! nobody will tell you that you need to change usb. your usb probably is not original so buy new one and don't destroy your computer with these tutorials

this was a very nice video! helped me figure out something. now the key will be to figure out how to show in both. i've already uninstalled (in the specified order) and reinstalled, and it did not work. so not sure how else to fix for good. but for now, thank goodness we have this workaround. thank you!

I was able to see photos when it is connected. But still I went to the camera, took a shot, disconnected and reconnected the lightning cable from iphone. Then it worked for me. Thanks for the video. It helped me :)

Just plug and unplug the cord many times and until the allow/don't allow button pops up after you have done all he said. IT WORKED FOR ME!

Thanks, this solved my problem! Been trying for an hour trying to find a solution. Make sure if you have an iPhone that is able to take live photos that you have live photos turned off when taking the picture and this solution will work.

So far I've tried all your suggestions and I've the gotten DCIM folder to show my photos just once. Then I have to go through the whole reset-trust sequence again to see my photos in the DCIM. My goal is to have Photoshop Elements open the DCIM folder and import on the new photos. It used to work in Windows 7 with my iPhone 6.

yea I think you can set that up, I would do a video on it but I don't have that program. What it does is the first time it copies it creates cache in a hidden like folder and then when you go take new pictures and come back and connect again it knows which ones are new and only copies over the new pictures because it saved the cache or memory the last time. This works but sometimes has issues and it doesn't help when the iPhone won't even show up without going through all that trouble as you mentioned.

sounds like then your computer might not be recognizing the iphone. You might have to reset the privacy settings in your iphone so it re-detects it on the computer. In order for you to do anything with it, the computer needs to see it first.

NONE of that worked for me either. What did work, was turning off photos in the iCloud app that apple decided to install on my pc. IMMEDIATELY after removing that, unplug and replug phone...it now connects.

this happens sometimes because iCloud photos is turned on on your iPhone, you can try and turn it off temporarily and see if you can get it to work then, you can always turn it back on

I'm using galaxy 4 android smartphone enclosed in a Watershot underwater case. Most of my videos/photos wind up in my DCIM folder on the card (not internal phone storage and can copy/transfer them) to my PC; all that is, except the underwater Watershot pix/videos. I can see those photos in the Watershot app, but cannot find them in the camera (yes, I did find a folder named Watershot, but it is empty).

Already have itunes,latest version. Phone shows up in itunes.Its just,its media can’t be reached through explorer which i need to copy .mov files of live photos.Have been surfing for 2-3 weeks,no solution has struck yet.Please do help.Appreciate your time and help🙌🏻.

I just know that user must update iTunes to make it works too other thing is your iPhone/ipad should be on your home page after unlock and plug in . once I update it went back to normal. Hope it works.

I just bought a iPhone 5 and 5s second hand.the previous owner had it set to find ph.now after I reset it asks them to remove it from their online devices.they tried this but it's not showing up so I'm stuck .what can I do to advise them to make it 5s reappear so they can remove it for me online.thanks

sounds like they need to log into their iCloud account and remove it from there. You have to log into iCloud from like a desktop computer and then take a look at it.

I've never had an issue with connecting my devices but for some reason now i can't se my iphone, ive tried your solutions but it never appears on my pc help!

+Blué you might want to try and reinstalling iTunes on your computer because when you install iTunes on your computer it installs Apple mobile support on there which allows for the iPhone to communicate with your Windows computer sometimes that gets buggy and you need to like reinstall iTunes for it to be detected the iPhone I would at least try that

Yeah your welcome and sorry this video didn't help you out, I have a few other videos that might help but sometimes it's a tricky issue to get it working, anyway good luck with it, and keep up the good work playing guitar, I saw your RU-vid channel, I play guitar as well but not lead guitar and not that good! I have a windows 7 laptop and my iPhone isn't recognized. It works in the computer we have downstairs but this is my personal one. I've tried everything. It's worked on the laptop before but idk what happen. I'm just trying to import pictures bc im running out of space 😩

+Kevin Arro well obviously there something going on with your laptop what I would try and do is make sure you do all your windows updates on your laptop and just clean it up a little bit and then reinstall iTunes on your laptop go into the control panel uninstall iTunes and anything to do with the Apple mobile support and then go download a fresh copy of iTunes onto your laptop then your iPhone will probably work on their

Hi, I have Windows 10, iPhone 5S. I tried your fixes nothing works. iPhone not showing in This PC. Bit it is showing in iTunes. I do not have "portable devices". Any ideas how to dysplau iPhone in This PC?

+Slav B have you tried taking a couple new pictures? Then connect it and see if it works. If not then uninstall iTunes and then reinstall iTunes. Then connect the iphone again and see if it pops up. The thing is there are multiple ways to trouble shoot it. You can also reset the privacy settings and then try it again. Or it's a driver issue or the mobile support driver.
