How to Fix Keyboard Not Working Issue in Windows 10/8.1 (Easy)

if you're having an issue where you type a Letter on your keyboard instead of showing the letter you typed it does something else for example when you type "d" and closes your tab or brings you somewhere else, a way to solve this is ctrl alt and shift 3 or more times all in the same time.

i uninstalled the keyboard driver,but when ever i hit the scan button nothing happens..its soo frustrating!!!

Holy cow it actually freakin WORKED. The part where I clicked on the Browse my computer for driver software. >> Let me pick from a List of Device drivers on my computer. This method WORKED for me. Doesn’t really work when the ease of access button isn’t One of the options you don’t have to search for anymore, and you have no way to search for it because your keyboard is broken

None of this helped me, but uninstalling the latest Win 10 update fixed my issue. Posting in case someone else might need this tip!

Here i was found one more issue regarding keyboard:when we expand keyboard option then we will get ELAN Keyboard option. That time it will not work even single button also not working. We need to choose only "standard PS/2 keyboard" option. Then it will work perfectly. Thank you

Sometimes my laptop will have this problem when i click "A" it opens the notifications "S" opens search its like windows key things i think

None of these have worked for me. In Device Manager, when I click on Keyboard, it shows three devices for some reason. I’m using a Ducky One 2 Horizon tkl, I wonder if it just shows up as three devices, I’m not sure.

After clicking uninstall of keyboard, i am not finding the keyboard option on device manager after clicking scan for hardware changes.

What made me comment here. His unique solution which is not even there in microsoft community. Thanks a lot the second method to update it from device manager has worked for me. 2 years old video still working for windows 10 updates
