PayPal has created safeguards for your account to be safe and protected from hackers and scammers. One of these protocols they impose on suspicious accounts or transactions is by putting limitations to certain or all features, including withdrawing funds, receiving money, making payments, refunding, etc.
In this video, I'll share with you my experience when my Paypal account was limited and how I was able to fix it in less than 24 hours.

Same with me. My account was permanently limited and no reason was given. Since I couldn't use their service anymore. I decided to remove my credit cards. But said I couldn't because of my account being limited. So what I did call my credit card company and have them issue me a new one.

Hi Bhe-Bhe, iba po kasi pag permanently limited and account. Pero kung meron pong funds na nasa account nyo in most cases, they hold it for 180 days and then after that pwede mo mawithdraw. However, you may need to get a new account if you want to continue using Paypal.

Hi Charity, try reaching out to them via Twitter. I was able to get help and follow up on my case by sending a DM to *@AskPaypal* . And by all means, don't deal with those who will offer help on IG etc, deal directly with Paypal. I hope that helps. 👍

Hi Bro, I don't recommend waiting for 180 days. If you can find ways to get a bank statement much better. Get in touch with GCash customer service and ask help if they can provide you with an account statement. The important info that needs to be in the statement is your full name, email address, and if possible registered address. I don't guarantee that it will work or if GCash can provide such request, but it's worth trying.

First of all, you have to check the resolution center in your account to know why you're account is limited and how you can get that limitation fixed.

Hi Mikael, have you tried reaching to them via their Twitter support? If not, please do. Send a DM about your issue to @AskPaypal They're very responsive and I'm sure they can help you. Just ignore those offering hacks or something, I know there's a lot of spam comments in this video and I'm not able to keep up to all their comments. So just be sure to deal directly with Paypal.

Hi Sachit, there's really no fixed timeframe, but if you provide and complete the required documents to submit, expect for it to be resolve in as fast as 24 hours or may last as far as a week (based on my experience)

Produce a legal document and ID that has the same name as what you have in your Paypal account. Otherwise, consider it a lesson learned and create a new account using your "REAL" name so you don't get into this same problem again.

Bank statement is usually to confirm your billing address if they are consistent with what you have in your Paypal account.

Hi Daniel, if you don’t provide the documents that Paypal is requiring you, unfortunately, you won’t be able get your money. Paypal will keep the money until you’re able to supply what they’re asking you.

Good question.. You may also want to check if there are alternatives that they have provided in place of a proof of billing. If not The only to resolve is for you to get a proof of billing under your name. Unless you do that, your account will remain limited

I've had same case before but it resolved by itself without me having to provide any document or proof. I think it's a glitch in their system. Try to reach out to @AskPayPal on Twitter though, they will be able to help you with that.

Hi John, OK lang naman kung walang laman paypal mo. Pero ang problema pag kasi nadetect ni paypal na duplicate, ihohold/limit din ni Paypal. Try mo mag open ng Maya savings (dating PayMaya), meron kasi silang bank statement na madadownload every month para meron kang magamit.

Hi Lyka, depende po kung anong feature ang affected pero in most cases ang cashing out or withdrawing funds from Paypal is not allowed. Try nyo po icheck sa resolution center, makikita nyo po doon yung list of features na affected at kung ano lang ang pwede nyong gawin sa account ninyo.

hi Sir, naka tempo limit po yung ccount ko simula pa nung May 20. needed lng daw iverify yung address then magsend ng valid ids or billing statement. gang valid ids lng ako since naupa lng po ako dito sa manila. nakailang send nako either umid or passport pero ayaw tanggapin.

First thing to do is to check your resolution Center. You should be able to find out why your account was limited and what you’re required to provide to fix it.

Hi Ella, depende sa case ng account mo. Dalawang beses ako na limited, one time humihingi sila ng docs like purchase order/receipt. Fulfillment receipt, which hindi ko maiprovide dahil service yung sakin hindi product. Awa ng Diyos, narestore naman siya na wala akong binibigay na document. yung case gaya nung nasa video, available naman lahat ng hinihingi nila kayo madali lang natanggal yung limitation. So sa case mo, pwedeng issue sa side ni paypal, pero kung ID or proof of Billing lang ang hinihingi, kelangan mo talaga ibigay para matanggal yung limitation.
