I’ve just begun this BBB process today. Yes I only had one single Shopify order from day one from my mom, so I’m grateful I saw this post and I’m hoping it’ll get resolved. I mentioned time stamps of PayPal correspondence, that I was prompted to verify my store email, and in less than 8 mins a follow up email was sent from PayPal mentioning a cancelled order. I may need to decline using PayPal.

Thank you so much for this video. I received the email for a permanent limitation on the 23rd of June, then watched the video the very same day. I logged my complaint into BBB and got a response from the company (BBB) the same day. 5 days later, on the 25th of June, I got a response from Paypal. They requested that I add a few documents and explain my use of my PayPal account. These steps took less than 10 minutes to fill, and then once submitted, my account went into review. The next day on the 29th of June, my account was restored. It took about 6 days from when my account became permanently limited to when it was restored. I found the video's steps helpful and appreciate your assistance. Thank you.

I had the same issue but this was a brand new business account and it was a new limited company never traded, I supplied all the information needed to open the account up and then received the red triangle flag. Followed by a very rude email saying that the account was suspended and will follow closure. I have had a personal PayPal account for over 20 years and never had this type of issue. Their customer service is absolutely awful keeping me hanging on the phone for over 30mins and then putting the phone down at their end. After watching other youtube videos I am not alone. If this is how I am going to be treated, I am glad that it has happened at an early stage that they are not worth doing business with and dumping my stake of shares in PayPal. PayPal needs to understand they are not the only online money transaction service.

@@jonesmbuso it’s strange after my experience with PayPal that weekend. I received a email back from them telling me that the restrictions had been lifted. It seems interesting that with negative feedback from various social media outlets is a powerful force. But no apologise, in one way I feel that I won my battle with big corporate company. But still was angry that I was treat in that way. There was no justification how PayPal treats new customers. My summary handle with corrosion and don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

I can confirm it works! I just did the exact same thing, and got an email from a 'Naga Rae' of 'Paypal Executive Escalations', saying that the suspension was 'in error' and my account was fully restored, on 11.9.2022

na once its restricted you can't change any of the details can't delete the phone number or delete the card info either literally locked all you can do is change the password and thats about it

@@adonaistreams3369 I first sent a message to paypal via the resolution center asking them why they banned my account. They later replied and I used that reply to complain to the BBB. I contacted the BBB using a vpn and filed a complaint, I uploaded paypal's response as well. After submitting the complaint BBB contacted me twice, first to let me know that the submission was successful and second to let me know that they contacted paypal ... after 3 weeks PayPal lifted all limitations and I was not asked to add any documents

No, the strange thing is that I didn’t receive any email from BBB after I complained to BBB, but PayPal received my complaint and gave me the investigation results 40 days later, which is what I said above.

Thanks for this information, However my account was permanently restricted today, although my IP addresses have been changing anytime I logged in to my account, also the ID I used to verify my account has expired, but when I was asked to submit my ID and proof of address, I submitted national ID instead of passport that I used in verifying the account and electricity bill after which I got a message of permanent restriction. HI, there I have been facing similar issue while using PayPal. So, I decided to visit BBB website and file complaint , However during form filling I ended up at "Zip/Postal code" section and I lives in India, So I entered my own postal code which is now generating an error stating that "Postal/zip codes only contains numbers and hyphens" but in my postal code there is no hyphen system , So how may I proceed to fill in the form further.

@@jonesmbuso Both my business and personal accounts were limited. Got a reply on my business paypal account (which was only a few days old). They reinforced their decision. But my personal paypal is about 10 years old. It's currently limited because system says my ID has expired. I explained to them (in my BBB compaint) that in Kenya ID cards are not renewable. You get it once and you're all set. Also attached a scan of my original ID card in my BBB complaint. I'm hopeful the ban on this account will be lifted. Thanks for your help. Will wait it out. If I don't hear anything after 21 days will open a new one with a different IP address. But hopefully it doesn't come to that.

I just filed a report on bbb as instructed but the problem is that I created another account after the first ban and I have been using the other account then I mistakenly added the old banned number and they banned the second account with about $700 usd .. now I have to report both.. will that be possible to be get reinstated? Both of them has money in them and both are personal accounts
