@@Devjowya Great Question and congratulations on your new gear. When first starting out, I had guys at a Fishing Store do it for me as they explained exactly how. Spinning reels are different from baitcasting reels. Braid is different from mono or fluorocarbon. The most important issues: “Backing” to keep the line secured to the reel. Initial knot to the reel (goal is to be very small with minimal tag) Tension (goal is to have the line on the reel tight but not stretched) Wrapping (goal is to have the line come off the spool so it “wraps” the same way on to the reel) If you really do not want to go to a store and have someone teach you, there are videos on how to do it. Remember, there are always multiple ways of achieving the same goal. Pro Tip: Establishing a relationship with a local tackle store will speed your learning curve, be introduced to new, successful, seasonal techniques and they will have a “vested interest” in your fishing success.
